Bending light has nothing to do with bending the body/weapon, Luna's attack are all physical, so it's NOT an illusion... Still possible, since the Luna side just takes the aspects of it. Like how Heat's able to do firepunches, while not being a humanoid made of fire. Doesn't he do a lot of jumping ...
