Re: Cutie Honey the Live Discotek Blu-ray release

Huh, thats quite cool, was not expecting such an old show to get a US release. If they are region free, I may have to give these a go, although I still havent looked up Garo S1 blu-rays to check them.

I was probably the fool that didnt batch the HD right. It was quite a while ago thou.

Re: Got my vaccine today

I got my first dose of Astrazeneca 3 weeks ago now. On the day I was fine, morning after I could hardly lift my arm, the following night I had a mild fever, not pleasent at all. Definatly took it out of me as my 5 mile virtual race I took part in was slower than the month before on the same route, o...

Re: A better work/fansub/life balance?

I still have my phone while out there, but its just there for anyone that needs to reach me. Shutting off from the digital world is quite hard at times when you have the stuff around you. if you dont have it, you can avoid it. Camping is good for just getting away from it all, although, if your like...

Re: A better work/fansub/life balance?

I can fully understand all this, working full time can suck some what, but I never really had any issues when I was doing work full time and fansubbing. At the time of my height with fansubbing roles, I welcomed fansubbing as a distraction from work and a way to unwind, timing had a mellow style eff...

Cool covers, but they probably should have remastered it for HD rather than doing another SD copy.

Re: tracker.tvnihon.com

The likely reason it takes longer is due to your location and the great firewall. There isnt much that can be done about that.

Re: tracker.tvnihon.com

HTTPS adds security to the session by ensuring traffic is encrypted. I cant see it being it reverted, all clients should work normally, I didnt even notice myself and my client downloaded the file fine. If you have a specific issue, you might want to say what it is and you might get some ideas of ho...

Re: Oct 22, 2019 T-N turns 17!

Whoops, completly missed this thread while on epic vacation in San Francisco and LA. Well, at least myself and Triple_M had an unofficial drink to mark this even if we didnt know fully while we were hanging out with Takenoko in a very hot city. Its been a crazy journey for a lot of us that have been...

Re: Goodbye 2018 / Hello 2019

I should also be making a return to America this year with a visit to San Francisco, where I am scheduled to do a half marathon over the golden gate bridge. And with any luck, meet up with noko and Triple M. I will have to see how my dealings of depression go as to if I can make a return to fansubb...

Re: Goodbye 2018 / Hello 2019

My 2018 was quite a busy one. spent a lot of time training to run my first half marathon, which I completed in 1hr 55min in less than desirable rain. Spent some time traveling to other countries again, including the very beautiful Malta for some winter sun. I also managed to complete 1000 miles of r...

Re: Why don't we have https?

SSL certs are not cheap. While there is Lets Encrypt, it can be tricky to get it working on an automated basis as those certs are only valid for 3 months.

Just depends how much work you want to put into it verses the cost of simple solutions.

Re: Japan uses two electric frequencies?

most portable electronic devices can operate anywhere in the world regardless of frequinces due to the power adapters that do all the switching work. alot of newer tech also features this functionality. so its probably stuff that is over a certain age would need to be replaced, although id imagine t...
