Re: A Kickstarter for a Super Sentai Game?!?
Slightly reviving this thread because there's new news involving Chroma Squad... The release of this game is being held up by Saban, because they feel that Chroma Squad is so similar to Power Rangers that either the developers should pay them royalties or the game should never come out... And wanti...

Re: A Kickstarter for a Super Sentai Game?!?
Well, we've got less than a week before it's finished. We;re less than $4000 away from Rider episodes in the game, and a much more distant amount from the Episode Editor, which is a shame. If we hit that $110K mark, I'd be all too ecstatic. If anyone sees this, we have until 12:49 EDT on August 21 t...

Re: A Kickstarter for a Super Sentai Game?!?
The one thing I wish is that they let you design the outfits. It seems like they are just doing generic Sentai with generic powers. It would be nice to see themed sentai with different skill trees representing the different themes. I know Kuchiri, that would be nice, but considering it's the first ...

Re: A Kickstarter for a Super Sentai Game?!?
Aaaaaannnnnddd now it's confirmed:
@55K - the game is funded
@80K - Rider extra episodes will be included and released
and @110K - Episode Editor, where you can record your episode, edit dialogue, and all around have your own way with the game.
Now tell me, how can you pass up on goals like that?

Re: A Kickstarter for a Super Sentai Game?!?
I skipped past this when I read about it before this thread thinking it was just a manager game with no RPG elements at all. Then I realized these were the guys who made Knights of Pen and Paper, and I thoroughly enjoyed that game. Hoping for that single hero mode to be confirmed though. (and custo...

Re: A Kickstarter for a Super Sentai Game?!?
Yeah when I saw this kickstarter yesterday, I was on my twitter spamming it to everyone I could think of to get the word out. Always against about fundraisers, because most of the project you gain nothing, but this project has a lot of content for the donors. This is really really nice. Yes, please...

Re: A Kickstarter for a Super Sentai Game?!?
It sounds like a Akibaranger episode. Which is a good thing. And I love Akibaranger. I can only imagine that series helped the creative team a bit. Well, there goes my kickstarter virginity. I mean, look at the perks: Totally worth it. I went for the $50 one myself, so I could get the armored Senta...

A Kickstarter for a Super Sentai Game?!?
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1893273284/chroma-squad-manager-game-with-japanese-style-supe Check this out: it's a Super Sentai (not PR, but Sentai) game where you play as a bunch of Stuntmen tired of a Toei-esque company taking advantage of them, so they go off and open their own Sentai studi...

Re: Abaranger 01 released
Ouch. I fell for it.
But I know zeldAIS and his crew will probably pick up on the Abaranger subs now that they see the 'want' here. I know help is always appreciated, so the more show of DINO GUTS!!! and help is offered, the quicker we can have great subs for all three Dino Sentai! ^__^

Re: Who wants to attend a legitimate Toku panel at Anime Bos
Bumping: No one's going to Anime Boston? Well, if you decide otherwise, check out the panel forum on their page. There seems to be steam building up from it, and there will be a toku cosplay photo shoot now because of it. If anyone wants to join in, give me a heads-up in either forum, their's or thi...

Who wants to attend a legitimate Toku panel at Anime Boston?
Well, it's happened. For those in the United States, more specifically New England, even more so Massachusetts, Anime Boston 2012 is coming up. I've been seeing more Riders and Sentai at AB, and I've been tooling with a primer panel for a while. The first round of panels have been announced, and &qu...

Re: Which Kamen rider series do you recommend?
OOO is definitely worth a run, though I'm not sure I quite agree about the villains been fleshed out well. I'll give on Dr. Maki, Kazari, even Uva, but I didn't feel like that was the case for Gamel or Mezool. I liked Eiji as a character, especially as he develops over the course of the series. Ankh...

Re: Which Kamen rider series do you recommend?
To piggyback off of Fishy, you get to experience the style of the story each world offers, along with the characters who are skewed versions of their counterparts. You may see something here or there that a fanboy might call spoiler, but that's coming from a person who has seen so much of the partic...

Re: Which Kamen rider series do you recommend?
That's a good way to put it Lunagel. Squashy, bear in mind two major things about Decade: 1) It was made with the idea of offering flavors without touching the canon of the actual series they went to (sans Den-O, I suppose) 2) From what I've been led to understand, it was shorter so when they start...
