Re: I love watching this show with my 3 year old.
LOL. Three year olds definitely think differently. I edit out the violence because at his age, kids will copy what they see. The last thing I want is for him to start kicking and punching someone. At that point, Mommy will say no more to any Toku in our house. A potentially sad day. (And of course, ...

I love watching this show with my 3 year old.
My almost three year old son and I are avid fans of Rescue Fire. I first watch the show without him and use VDUB to edit out all the fighting, monster and generally scary scenes. Poof! A 22 minute show becomes an 8 minute show. So what's left? Of course we love the vehicle CGI launch scenes and the ...

XVID because it's easier to convert to a portable without worrying about subtitles.

Re: Using a Japan buying agent
I did the currency conversion, where I goofed was the shipping costs. Before using this service, I used HLJ.com for buying Japanese toys and they offer SAL as a shipping option which usually came out to about $18. The buying agent doesn't offer SAL and uses Surface Mail as their cheap option which c...

Re: Using a Japan buying agent
I just wanted to report that I had a very positive experience with using my buying agent, fromjapan.co.jp. All the charges were itemized and very transparent. To my surprise it appears that they charged me no commission for the purchase. I bought a DX Firedragon from amazon.co.jp and I paid exactly ...

Paleomax Megazord Back in Stock
For those interested, the Paleomax Megazord is back in stock at Amazon.com. It's selling for about $40 (free shipping, no tax). It's a little bit more than the $25 list price but it's the first time I've seen it on sale online in months. Also, I see that Target is now selling the Mighty Morphin Powe...

Re: TOY COMPARISON: RPM VS GO-ONGER
The Japanese toys are nicer but they cost three times as much, which is fine for an adult collector, but I am happy BoA offered a cheaper alternative. I bought three RPM megazords for my two year old. He doesn't need LED lights and sounds. He just wants to push his wolf zord across the rug. When I b...

Using a Japan buying agent
I used a Japanese buying agent for the first time this weekend to buy a Tomica DX Fire Dragon off of Amazon Japan. The price of the toy was 3834 yen. The total with shipping (surface mail) and service charges was 6492 or about US$72. I put the order in on Friday and received a shipping notice from t...

Re: Shinkenger 39 released
I don't think it's that we wanted to ignore them, it's just that Gekiranger had martial arts as a focus and I personally would have liked to see a martial arts/samurai teamup instead of racing/samurai teamup.
Speaking of fantasy team ups, how about Shinkengers with Hurricangers? Ninj...

Re: Shinkenger 39 released
The brute didn't even apologize. . . . The episode does take on a beginning of the end tone. I hope Takeru gets out of his funk soon. I don't want to see him brooding for another 10 episodes. As for the introduction of another Shinkenger, I don't think its going to be Juuzuo. The guy has got too muc...

Re: Shinkenger 38 released
I'm a huge fan of Chow Yun Fat so I loved the final shoot out at the end.
Was saddened to see him not go over to greet his family. They came all the way to see him and then he looks at them wistfully and then walks away. It must be a cultural thing, I would be pissed if I was his family.
