Re: Kiramager Episode 28 released

Loved this episode a ton. Every part of Shiguru's entertaiment routine was great, but the cut-in of him flying with those wings especially had me laughing. It all coming around to him getting a stone to cry alongside him, just like he was doing in the very beginning of the episode, was a really fun ...

Re: Kiramager Episode 27 released

Why's everyone just repeating 'she hasnt grown an inch' like it's a mantra. This was a fun episode as usual. I actually found the most interesting and dynamic bits to be all the scenes of Sena running through the city. The Gekiranger homages were cute and certainly hit my own personal nostalgia spot...

Re: Kiramager Episode 26 released

A really solid conclusion to the previous episode's cliffhanger in my book. The big new power-up is certainly no SWAT Mode or Magilegend, but it's just really nice to see everyone on the team being all sparkly together. It's maybe a 'standard' power-up episode all in all, but Kiramager has been cons...

Re: KR Saber 06 released

Given the nature of their merchandise and how hard their debuts drive home their one big personality trait/gimmick, Buster and Kenzan feel by far the most expendable characters to me, or at the very least have the highest chance of just getting shuffled off to the side later on. I'd say it's a given...

Re: KR Saber 05 released

I liked this one quite a bit. We're settling enough to establish backstory stuff right off the bat for characters, and to get more natural interactions among them. I'm already more invested in Kento than anyone else, since this episode acts as a more proper and standard introduction/focus episode. H...

Re: KR Saber 03 released

I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing death flags all around Buster. This episode is pretty strangely-paced. I'm used to early episodes going by fast, but usually a way that makes sense. Like how the first several episodes of Ex-Aid each dedicate themselves to introducing and establishing characters ...

Re: Kiramager Episode 24 released

Biggest missed opportunity is no all-out battle of the bands between the Kiramagers and the monster partnered up with Garuza on guitar! The main mecha using Zabyun as guns and then a spear is probably the closest thing we'll get to a combination, other than that amazing time they glued themselves to...

Re: KR Saber 02 released

Those video game cutscenes are at the very least PS3 worthy! More very standard early episode stuff with a lot of near-mindless action as we're very slowly introduced to the basic concepts of the premise. That said, I found it pretty entertaining! Between the idealistic hero and the overeager civili...

Re: Kiramager Episode 23 released

This episode was outrageously cute and funny. It's ridiculous how right out of the gate, they're like 'the queen is alive because we say so' and we just gotta accept that, but I went along with it because why not. Shiguru continues to be the funniest character, but everyone got to be a clown in this...

Re: KR Saber 01 released

I could understand if they were just mistaken that those were all proper nouns. They aren't, by the way, they're just descriptive words. Unless halfway through the show, it turns out the Driver is named after a character named Seiken...

Re: KR Saber 01 released

If Mei is like any previous character, it's clearly Akiko. I thought this premier was just alright. It's very, very standard first episode stuff. Unassuming hero and his pal come across fantastical monster, he comes upon a mysterious power and uses it to save the day. It's a formula that's tried and...

Re: Kiramager Episode 21 released

I liked this one quite a bit! It pulls a Ryusoulger-type of spread focus where certain characters just get to shine prominently even if the story isn't necessarily about them, in this case Shiguru getting to be the one to figure out the monster's plan. Also he got to particularly show off his swords...

Re: Zero-One series discussion and poll

I feel weird about this show, honestly. I know I like it more than I don't, yet I feel like my issues with it are going to be what sticks out in my mind in the long run because it could have easily been so much greater. I was really invested in the premise at the beginning, of these different factio...

Re: KR Zero-One 45 and Countdowns released

I liked the conclusion of the final battle, since it was just about everything I hoped it going to be. Aruto and Horobi beating on each other as they shout out all their anguish and hopes and whatnot, culminating with a spectacular finish and them both managing to settle their differences. This part...

Re: Zero-One series discussion and poll

Even if the finale turns out to be the worst episode in history, I'm pretty confident in saying right now that Zero-One is a solid 7/10 or 8/10 for me.
