Can we just talk about the fact that NejiPink's true form is called "NejiJealous?"
Come on, writers.

Re: MegaRanger 39 released
Just as a point of interest, here's what the subtitle script looks like for that less-than-2-second segment where we see the computer screen saying that Kenta has an email: Dialogue: 0,0:06:20.69,0:06:20.73,Mega39 Computer Text,TXT,0,0,0,,{\fay-0.02\pos(194,293.2)}Checking e-mail. Re: MegaRanger 38 released
Did I miss something? Why would calling the Keitaizer be okay when using the Digitizer in any way would expose them as MegaRangers? Yeah, that confused me, too. I think we were supposed to believe that Kouichirou's plan was the Digitank distraction; we're supposed to forget that using the Digitizer...

Re: Kyouryuuger 26 Released
It's really quite unfortunate that Yayoi is being squandered as a character. To be honest, Amy is relatively interesting, but even she's pretty one-dimensional (even as Sentai characters go). It pretty much starts and ends with "she's rich, but a tomboy!" Not that the other characters are ...

Re: Kyouryuuger 19 released
I know you're probably talking about a record within Kyouryuuger, but surely Go-Onger and Go-Busters had four or more overlapping multiple times in its histories. I think Usada might actually have talked at the same time as someone else more often than he talked by himself.

Re: Fserve help
DaiMomotar, I believe the problem was that you did not set your fserv to have silent ads only (see rules: viewtopic.php?p=59965#p59965)

Re: KR Fourze Final Episode Director's Cut Edition released
See, I thought the word for kill is korosu. It must be used often enough for me to be familiar with the word.

Re: KR Fourze Final Episode Director's Cut Edition released
That said, it's funny how they don't use the word "killed" in Fourze at all. The literal Japanese translation usually goes along the lines of "Kengo was destroyed" or "Kengo disappeared" or "My body would disappear without the switch". I get it's a kid's show...

Re: Watch me translate Wizard 15
I've obviously never translated before, but from what I've read translating on Aegisub is a hassle. The developers themselves actually say it's not really designed for translating (in the standard way). It can kind of work if the group's subbing style is to post time (i.e.: translate then time the l...

Re: Thinking about age in relation to entertainment
It's only slightly better than calling yourself a pedophile. Surely that must be an exaggeration? You said earlier that it's similar to the stigma attached to D&D years ago; I don't think any sane person truly believed being a D&D geek was just one step above pedophilia. I hope you're exagg...

Re: Thinking about age in relation to entertainment
They maybe flawed individually, but it's kind of fun to see how things come together when they're around each other. Well, it's not that I dislike flawed characters. I just feel that the archetypes they decided to go with this time around are either badly chosen, not fleshed out or, really, badly a...

Re: Thinking about age in relation to entertainment
Fawning over beautiful women? Hmmm, wasn't there the Go-Onger episode with Saki's older sister that was an episode like that. I mean, there's the joke that KR just has beautiful guys to bring in the young moms. I'm sure it wouldn't be totally off to say that maybe KR also has beautiful women to app...

Re: Thinking about age in relation to entertainment
That's a fair point, but... why can't it be toku and still be good? XD I don't think Toei should get a free pass just because they're usual water mark is low. I mean, even compared to their own stuff, most of their movies range from passable to garbage with maybe a handful of gems. For every God Sp...

Re: Thinking about age in relation to entertainment
Well, I kind of think we're talking about two different things here. The first is why are the toku movies (generally) less good than the series. This doesn't stand up in all cases, of course, but I would agree that it holds well enough to start a conversation. It sounds like, take, you're thinking t...
