Seriously, though, my point was that Kouga's post sounded like a "discussion hereby over!" announcement. Which sounded silly to me, because, as the thread proves, there have been non-trivial questions on the issue, and there might be more.

If that were the case, I'd have closed the thread. Duh.

I don't see how your misunderstanding of the situation makes your response make any more sense than it does. All you've really done is artificially extend this thread with an off topic tangent.Spectrum wrote:Seriously, though, my point was that Kouga's post sounded like a "discussion hereby over!" announcement. Re: Don't spoil (about spoilers)
My 2 cents on this....
I myself don't get spoiled, I can read the whole script of a movie only wanting to see it more (I read Transformers movie book before I saw the movie). Nevertheless, a majority of people do get spoiled ( and I will never understand why ) and so we must respect that. That said, spoiler tags are getting redundant due to current rules and regs. I think people who don't want to get spoiled should just avoid them or not have them used at all.

Re: Don't spoil (about spoilers)
I notice that some people kind of abuse the spoiler tags a bit more often than they should (if you're talking about episode 2 in the episode 2 thread, you don't need a spoiler tag). I was going to say something, but then I stopped myself, because I was worried it would create mixed signals.
If I explained my thinking on spoilers, perhaps that would allay some of the people's fears about what is and isn't appropriate?
For Decade for example. If I see someone talking about the previews or something non-plot spoilery about a Kamen Rider show that we haven't done, I will probably remove the part of the post that breaks the rule, but I wouldn't ban that person.
Bans are more for people who lack a certain level of common sense. Like if they post spoilers from the wiki or pictures of characters who haven't appeared in the show yet. Like earlier tonight someone was talking about the raw for the last episode of Go-Onger and mentioned some stuff from the episode, even though we had at that point not released beyond 46. For being incredibly inconsiderate, that deserves a month ban.
Some more grey area stuff that would earn a person a ban is if they made a post that would encourage other people to talk about unreleased episodes, like creating a raw thread or saying something that's obviously a reference to an unreleased episode.
I'm kind of pleased that people are trying to help each other out by telling them to go back and edit their posts (although please make these messages in PM's, it's more likely to reach the poster). I would much rather people regulate themselves so that the mods don't have to.
Also, don't quote spoilers, that's not a smart thing to do

Re: Don't spoil (about spoilers)
i’m not complain but i’d like to hnow why my last post in Rider World Book of Records was a spoiler
although that thing i was talking about it’s in Ryuki Special and it’s officially released.

Re: Don't spoil (about spoilers)
(If it's the one I'm thinking of, which I did a while back o_O) When the special was released, it was also noted with "Don't watch if you don't want to be spoiled" because it has the extras in it that still haven't been shown in the tv series. So out of respect for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, I removed that post because it could technically spoil them. Like me for example, I had completely forgot about that character and went to look it up to see what you were talking about, and got spoiled.

If this was the spoiler from date July 7 about the Ryuki special that was released in May, then that ban probably was unjustifiedKabuto wrote:i’m not complain but i’d like to hnow why my last post in Rider World Book of Records was a spoiler
