I live in Georgia and http://www.tvnihon.com has worked fine for me since about a week after the URL started being funky, so I think the people that associated it to different providers were closer.Saejima Kouga wrote:Maybe it depends on which side of the country you're on. Those of us more toward the East can't use tvnihon.com and those of you out toward the West can get to it?
The problem of not being able to access tvnihon.com domains lies in the DNS server used. The real problem is with the recursive query of any tvnihon.com domain name on ones ISP's DNS server(s). Some DNS servers does not do recursive queries properly while other DNS servers does not do no recursive queries properly. To find out if the DNS server used is having problems with recursive (or no recursive queries), then do the following (Windows only):
If one gets a message similar to this "can't find http://www.tvnihon.com: Server failed", then domain either does not exist or the DNS server is having some issues with recursive lookup on the domain. However, a successful recursive answer should give an output similar to this:
If a recursive query fails, then to the following:
The response on a no recursive query can vary from time to time. However it should (normally) be either one of these cases:
where QUERY_SERVER is the server one wants to use.
The step above needs to be done until one is using the DNS server responsible for the tvnihon.com domain names is used as the query server. (Authoritative answer is always given by the server in charge for the SOA for the domain in question.)
By default, a recursive query is used by the program/libraries responsible for domain name lookups.
Some examples/technical informations. (All queries is done with the program "dig" on Linux.)
Answer form a DNS server with a successful recursive lookup.

Re: tvnihon.com
Is it just me? Or did all the shows in progress get moved to completed projects, and the section they were in before got completely disabled?

Re: tvnihon.com
Oh, they still work . But it still irks me that the convenience of smaller sections has disappeared. Meh, I'm just whining now.
