Now that episode six is out it's safe to discuss this...

Was I the only one annoyed by the badly spoilerriffic preview at the end of episode 5? "Oh, hey, and BTW, Sudou is Scissors." I don't know how hard it was to figure that out in the first place (it's been a while since I first watched the episode), but I thought showing it in the preview was lame.

Poor Sudou. Two episodes. That's got to be the shortest tenure ever for a Kamen Rider (not counting movies and the like).

Also, I thought Scissors' suit was ugly. One of the ugliest Rider suits I've seen. He was so rubbery he looked more like a Monster-of-the-Week than a Rider (Rider-of-the-Week?).

Ah, OK. I haven't finished Hibiki.

Come to think of it, 555 also has a number of extremely short-lived Riders. (Although in their cases only the users die, the Rider belts live on and can be donned again.)

what's lamer was, he was over real quick in this episode, and here i thought he was gonna last a few more episodes since he's a rider n' all, but too bad ... well that's one rider down lol!

I think it's clever how you guys have the episode title and it's mirror image disappear into each other.

I'm looking forward to a clearer explanation as to why the riders must fight one another.

As for the design factor, I think in general this series has a little more cheesy Disney feel than some of the other series, but I like the new (as yet unnamed) rider with the gears on the side of his head, who looks even more cheesy than the main characters. I could totally see this guy walking around Tommorrowland getting his picture taken with 6 year olds!

Actually that's already there in the raws. We've added some roumaji to the effect, but we can't take credit for the idea.

On a side note, the turning gears were great. I didn't notice them until I watched this episode for the second time (recently) and was all "hey, awesome".

I think Scissors has a pretty cool suit design. The helmet's pretty complex and I like his claw based weapons. The finisher where he turns into a ball is a pretty cool effect too.
