Widescreen
This is something I've been wanting to make sure of before I watch. The encodes I downloaded are in widescreen, but I've been hearing Ryuki was 4:3 on TV and DVD. Can anyone give me an answer on this? (And please, just the honest answer.)

Okie, just wanted to make sure. Some Dekaranger eps I got off here were incorrectly widescreen, so it never hurts to be careful. Thanks. Now to start ep one. <3

Re: Widescreen
err i think youll find that would be down to the encoding setting that is present on some of the older shows, just use VLC to adjust the ratio while watching itBiccy wrote:Okie, just wanted to make sure. Re: Widescreen
That's probably due to the player you're using in combination with some incorrect settings that Azazel mentioned. Not all players are affected by that problem, and those that are tend to allow aspect ratio overrideBiccy wrote:Okie, just wanted to make sure. It's pretty easy to tell when something is supposed to be widescreen or not anyway

You try telling that to the makers of the last two Power Rangers seasons.takenoko wrote:It's pretty easy to tell when something is supposed to be widescreen or not anyway

Re: Widescreen
I used VLC for all my AVIs, and yeah, I use that to adjust the files. But like I said, it's better safe than sorry since Ryuki's "old".

Re: Widescreen
Riders shows since 2000's Kuuga (i believe) have been 16:9.
Sentai did not start showing in 16:9 until 2006's Boukenger.
