In case any of the viewers/fans care: I was working as the translator on Ryuki for a while, but no longer. I did QC on episodes 1-8 and translation on episodes 9-16. After that, disagreements between Takenoko and myself turned ugly and I left/was fired. Takenoko has taken over translation again and claims that this will not cause delays; the release frequency since I left seems to support this.

The split from TV-Nihon was not exactly friendly, but I still post on the forums.

It could have been a good collaboration, but oh, well.

Just to clarify: I am not trying to paint Takenoko or anyone else as the bad guy here. This thread is just meant as a farewell of sorts, not an accusation or discussion. So... thanks to those who welcomed me here. I hope you enjoyed my work while it lasted.

You fired me from the translator job and offered me a QC job. I declined. Therefore, I feel the phrasing "I left/was fired" is a fair description.

Anyway, this topic was meant to inform any people who might care. I don't think going into the details of our conflict is a good idea.

I don't know, but an interesting related piece of trivia: If Vin Diesel fell in the forest, and no one was watching, it would sound like Beethoven's Ninth. If he fell in the forest, and someone was watching, he would beat that guy to a bloody pulp. But the screams of agony would still sound like Beethoven's Ninth.

2+2 does equal 22, if + is interpreted as string concatenation.

since i have no skills to be a typesetter or translation maybe I will try to be a QCer after I have 3 different media players VLC MPC and Zoom and I jot down notes while checking for quality

I also can help if any projects need some help QCing. I use many(5-10) different media players on a regular basis, not that it really means any thing. I do editing of a lot of papers for people, I have also done TA work for english professors.
