Thinking about doing Ryuki next but quick question...

First off a little background...

I stopped watching Tokusatsu for about 11+ years, but a really good friend has recently gotten me watching again and told me about this awesome little corner of the interweb. Since rekindling my love for all things Toku, I've gone through MagiRanger, GekiRanger, Den-O, Kabuto, Faiz, and Kiva.

Now the question...

I've got Kamen Rider Ryuki in my sights for my next Tokusatsu endeavor, but according to the episode list on Ryuki's Wikipedia page, TV-N's tracker is missing eps 41-50. Is this accurate? I know Wikipedia isn't the most... trustworthy source for info so I bring it to you.

Is there a series you would suggest then? I would rather watch a complete series while I wait for Ryuki to finish. I was told that Kamen Rider Blade was a good one.

Im actually in the middle of Blade right now (episode 36!) and it is very good, not as good as Faiz, but still good. I will warn you though, Blade stats off very slow, but it picks up around episode 15, IMO

Im also starting to download Ryuki, so i've been monitoring the releases, it wont be long until they release the next episode.

Okay I have watched both Blade and Garo and it is definitely unanimous. Blade was an awesome series, but alas Garo tops even Blade.

It's weird ya know... I returned to Tokusatsu with Den-O and I kept thinking to myself, whoa this is awesome! I'm so glad I got back into this! Then I saw Kiva and was completely blown away. I thought before starting Decade I would like to get caught up with all the Heisei Riders so I picked up Kabuto. I was so impressed that I started Faiz all the while thinking to myself, this is earlier in the timestream... there's no way that its going to match up to the other ones I've watched. I'm so happy to see that I was wrong on soooooo many levels. After Blade, I can hardly wait for what Ryuki and Hibiki have in store.

Ryuki = AWESOME.If it weren't for Blade & Hibiki, Ryuki would easily be the best KR Series this Decade.

Hibiki = Tale of Two Tales. The 1st part was MIND.BLOW. The 2nd part was STOMACH.BLOW.

Basically, post-rewrite(which i think was ep33{can anyone correct me?} Hibiki turns from awesome to WTF?)

I love Hibiki all the way through, but even without knowing about the staff changes when I watched it there was a noticeable change in the flow of the story. My only quibble was one character added toward the end that I didn't like...he was a little better in Den-O.

Blade is great, though if your deciding between Blade and Garo, Garo is even better.

I agree with this. Garo is great, but a little short. Blade is great AFTER about episode 15, it is very slow to get going...I really had to work to get through the first 10 episodes or so.

You know, there's nothing wrong with going ahead and starting Ryuki. Unless you are just planning on a marathon session for a few days they will probably finish it by the time you catch up. There are only about 5 more episodes for them to do and they have been churning them out like crazy. (BTW, thanks for that TV-Nihon staff!!)
