UTADA's 2009 US Album - 'This is the one'

Post by gh0stwrit3r » Mon Apr 06, 2009 12:06 pm

also, I realized we don't have a music forum, or at least none that I know of.

Anyway, I just bought a copy of her new album, 'This is the one'. I love it. It's helluva lot better than the last US album she released, 'Exodus', back in 2004.

Any other Hikki-san fans out there? o_O

I hope "this is the one" cause the last one sucked. I don't think she had a good thing to say in any of those songs if I remember right.

I kinda liked Exodus... It wasn't that good but there were some catchy songs, some are really great to dance to, and I like hearing artists exploring new ideas in general. Then again I tend to enjoy nearly everything Utada puts out... Not a patch on her other stuff anyway.
I'll check out This Is The One (DL for now, hopefully it's out on CD here soon), the first song they previewed sounded pretty nice, but maybe more of the same Exodus was, just more mainstream. But Heart Station was great so maybe this will be a good follow up.
