Final Fantasy XIV: Dad of Light
Is anyone watching this? It's a new show on Netflix about a father and son bonding while playing FFXIV. I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Also, it stars Chiba Yudai (Alata from Goseiger) and has at least a couple of other former Super Sentai actors as well. Ishino Mako (DekaSwan from Dekaranger) is his mom and Shimazu Kentarou (Gentle from Kyouryuuger) is his boss! I always like seeing Super Sentai actors in other film.

I play FF14 which is why I watched that jdrama. It's a cute short story. But no wonder why he seemed familiar lol. Neat.

Oh, Alata has really grown into his giant ears
I also actively play FFXIV so I'll likely pick this up once I have a free spot in my to-watch list.

Looks like there's a dorama that advertises Final Fantasy by reconnecting a son with his father. Has anyone seen it?
If you click on the link I made above, it apparently has a lot of toku actors and voice actors in it.

It's pretty good. There is a good mix of heartwarming scenes and humour.
Apparently is based on a true story as well.

I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I also started a topic about it in the off-topic thread the other day. Looks like I stuck it in the wrong part of the forum though.

Re: Final Fantasy XIV: Dad of Light
I saw Baba Fumika posting some promotional pics of her and Gosei Red, but I've no interest in Final Fantasy so I'm not watching. That and I don't have a Netflix account.

Re: Final Fantasy XIV: Dad of Light
It is a classic story told in a very modern way, with good actors.
I watched half yesterday and the other half today and really enjoyed it.

Re: Final Fantasy XIV: Dad of Light
This was wonderful. I imagine that it might be a bit too lighthearted for some people, but I enjoyed this little emotional adventure.
Chiba Yudai was great. His expressions were fantastic. I kind of miss Alata now. It's a shame that it's impossible to get him to a convention in America because he's so busy these days.
