Stargate Universe—a spinoff of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis—follows the adventures of explorers who start off on a reconnaissance mission to the Destiny, a ship built by the Ancients, only to wind up on a never-ending mission when the crew learns the ship can't return to Earth. The Destiny, her crew in tow but not actually in control of the ship, then traverses the universe, bringing them in contact with new worlds and various races, as well as potential allies and enemies.

Stargate Universe will premiere later this year and stars Robert Carlyle, Justin Louis, Brian J. Smith, Alaina Huffman, David Blue, Ming-Na and Lou Diamond Phillips.

Heyo.

Just wanted to ask if Stargate Universe is any good, based on the pilot.

The synopsis kinda reminded me of Stargate: Voyager, and I absolutely loved that show, hence I was hoping to see if it was fun to watch even if I've never really been a Stargate Fan.

Not much of a Stargate fan myself, the odd ep of SG1, never seen any Atlantis, i downloaded SG:Universe because of Robert Carlisle, hes a great actor. I enjoyed the pilot, i could potentially watch the entire series, which would be my first full Stagate series.

You should check it out, its not rubbish anyway (Like that godawful Sanctuary, i managed two sickening episodes of that- only thought of it because it had that woman from SG1 in it)

SG:U is awesome, its a very stark difference to the norm of SG stories, the story so far is great, very interesting, well knit together in terms of everything, will definatly be watching it all the way through, still waiting on the new SG movie and the SGA movies that are coming next year.

Sanctuary is great as its unique in terms that is filmed entirely in front of a green screen, and its Amanda Tapping that stars in it, i

thats the lady! i like her, i think shes a good actress. But shes not even in SGU so i dont know why i even brought her up
