Sigh. I would've expected him to learn from the "Bush doesn't care about black people" incident.
Unfortunately, Viacom is actively taking down every youtube video of the incident in an attempt to do some PR damage control.

Wow, how odd. I'm listening to the overthinkingit.com pod cast about the incident right now

Kind of makes you wonder if he did that on purpose

I'm not a Taylor Swift fan, but that was a completely dickheaded thing to do. I wish Kayne would just stick to producing cause I'm done listening to what he has to say.

Wow, I can't believe I missed that. I must have turned the awards on after it had already happened.
That is nuts. I guess when people get to a certain level of fame, they think they can do anything without accountability or reproach. I'm not all that fond of Taylor Swift, either, but I feel really sorry for her. I would have been so embarrassed, and I don't think I would have been able to handle it as well as it sounds like she did.
Maybe they should have put together an award for the person who acted like the biggest dick and handed it over to Kanye at the end of the night.

I think MTV is just inviting him to award shows now, because they'll know he'll pull these kinds of stunts.
He freaked out backstage for the past two years, because MTV didn't let him perform on the main stage of the awards show. He performed at another place across the street.
And apparently he got up on stage and took the mic at the European MTV awards after not winning an award.

I hope he doesn't interrupt Patrick Swayzes funeral to say Michael Jacksons was better.

No, he'll just rant about how Michael Jackson wasn't really "black."Ruecian wrote:I hope he doesn't interrupt Patrick Swayzes funeral to say Michael Jacksons was better.

I'm starting to think that MTV was trying to stage something but Kanye's unpredictable behavior made everything spiral out of control.
This isn't the first time one of MTV's staged antics produced undesired results. During the 2002 VMAs, they tried to poke fun at the Eminem-Moby feud with Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog. MTV tried to cover it up when the joke started to fall apart because of Eminem's anger. Thankfully, Conan O'brien used this opportunity to mine it for some comedy gold on his show:
