Re: Thundercats 2011
I actually enjoyed it, it was a great start for the reboot of the series and since they are making it just one world this time, instead of 3 different planets I would like to see how this series goes. Character wise they all looked good, had pretty much decent screen time for everyone, excluding Panthor(spoiler reasons) and the two meddling kids and their talking...(gets a report in). Hmm what's this...oh I see and their no longer talking cat pet Snarf, that apparently doesn't say "Snarf" anymore. the fight scenes actually flowed nicely and were well drawn. Also on a side note about Snarf.
Spoiler
When they were escaping the castle via the secret passage, when Snarf ran through the door, I literally swore I heard Snarfing

Re: Thundercats 2011
Good to hear, i did like it really much aswell!
I would call it a great remake as it takes pretty much nothing from the original series. Other then some iconic moves, the appearence of Mumm-Ra and the names of course.
I found that someone had put the first episode/episodes on youtube. Probably will be removed soon but you can watch it there right now!

Re: Thundercats 2011
I personally didnt find it all that brilliant, the original is the better one
As far as I can see they have kept it in the same universe as the original and just regressed the Thunderians to a pre-tech state over the years, I guess they are gonna build up to a new cats lair at somepoint.
I will continue to watch to see how badly they mess it up.

You might be one of those who are stuck in your childhood. The original is not that great really. Much is messed up and would not hold up today.Azazel wrote:I personally didnt find it all that brilliant, the original is the better one

As a fan of the original i find this way better with a well developed story and characters.

Re: Thundercats 2011
I liked it. Even though I love the old series this one is also good. The flow of the story was nice though the ending for episode 2 seemed slightly rushed.
I do think it's more like a mesh of a retelling of the old series but also like it's a sequel to that series as well and the cats now are descendants of the original. Who knows, I just hope the series turns out good.
Episode 3 was not that good but I found myself enjoying #4 almost as much as the premier.
Spoiler
Lion-O should have at least fought with the sword before using its power on Mum-Ra.

It's been confirmed. Two season 26 episodes in each. It's just dumb CN that split it into FOUR for some dumb reason. Hopefully it gets more cause it's actually not that bad.nini5 wrote:I loved it too, can't wait till they make new episodes.Nothing confirmed yet.

Re: Thundercats 2011
I never got around to see it, which is pretty typical of a lot of American cartoons that I want to watch nowadays. Did it at least end with no loose ends? How many episodes actually aired?
Still worth checking out?
