Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs
So I recently picked up the complete series set from Amazon. If you're not familiar with the series, this is a dub of SeiJuushi Bismark which was released during the 80s. Maybe it's nostalgia glasses, but this show was rad. If you're a fan of Sentai, you should check it out.
Look at the suit designs. They were awesome. Each of them has their own vehicle. The British guy has a robot horse. Flying robot horses are the best! And they pilot that ship that turns into a giant robot in the background (which they use to fight other giant robots). It's so Sentai.
There's even a girl and she has her own suit too.
And the voice of Optimus Prime is in this too. It's so good!

Epic! This is, Sir, truly, a treasure and if I may, of the universe... They show this in my country on the early '90s. Of course, not the Japanese one, alongside with Voltron, Patlabor, Transformers and a few more title that have been missing from my memory. Take, you have my thanks for sharing this. Awesome!
Completed : V3, Amazon, Black, Black RX, ZX, Shin, J, ZO, Kuuga, Agito, Ryuki, Faiz, Blade, Hibiki, Kabuto, Den-O, Kiva, Decade, W, OOO, Fourze, Wizard, Gaim, Drive, Ghost, Ex-Aid

I always wondered why Steed had a Swiss flag on her chest when Saber Rider's supposed to be British...

I love the little flags that are all over their costumes. The series music is still really good too. I bought the soundtrack for this show a while back.

This is a great show, would like to see it again. During the broadcast, they sold some guns you could use to shoot on tv during episodes or opening/closing theme, like for captain power good old times ...
You can see it in this photo, though it is in french.

Re: Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs
Well probably because it is not a swiss flag but a swiss cross (to be precise a swiss flag is a red square with a white Greek cross in the centre but swiss cross itself is just a white or yellow cross over red sruface and can be any shape and it does not represents nationality but something else) and swiss cross was used mostly over swiss made products so maybe steed is a swiss army knife himself?Luno wrote:I always wondered why Steed had a Swiss flag on her chest when Saber Rider's supposed to be British...

I watched the first couple of episodes a couple of years back. It's one of many shows I started but either never made considerable progress on or never finished.
I don't think I even got to the 100s in Dragonball!

Optimus Prime took a lot of breaks out of the fight to narrate a bunch of shows. That lazy ass.

Here is the original opening.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mj6aGmyAYx8 .... although WEP had put together a great audio soundtrack.
Something happening on a show turns into a board comment.

Re: Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs
this series was a part of my childhood and very famous here in germany. the only things i didn't like were some episodes produced by the american company and the reorganization of the sequenzes... i mean first the commander was captured and in the next episodes they went shopping... as nothing has happened. it confused me a little bit xD.
but the soundtrack is awesome... one of the few soundtracks, which i can say die u.s.-version is better than the japanese
