Dear God, I bawled like a baby. =( =( WHY MELE?! WHY?!

Damn it...

It was a fantastic episode, though. Choreography for the KenDan was awesome, too. ^_^

Whatever's left of my heart has been ripped out and stomped upon :<

I have to say, that *CRACK* sent shivers down my spine. Quite graphic for a kids's show, too :o

Also, lol at guy in mele suit rolling down the cliff. I was like "PANTYSHO-DO NOT WANT!".

The CRACK was so cool! Well, at least they gave her a good death. It just looked like Rio and Mele were sent to the forest of Glen(in Makai world?). :0
I love the Ken Dan choregraphy and the Mele vs robotthing bit. xD

Woah. I didn't even notice that until I paused that scene. That was slightly disburbing. And gross. I do not want to see any sort of male in Mele's costume.

They didn't have to Kill off Rio and Mele!!! it was a great show with a great ending even if they didn't do it. Certain shows people have to die to make it work...Abaranger for example...or one can even argue Jetman...but they had a great ending even if nobody dies. It's like they decided to do it on a whim.

Couldn't have chosen two more heartbreaking characters though. I dunno if u guys agree, but I though Rio and Mele made this show (and the heros were way overshadowed by them). I couldn't wait for subsequent episodes not find out what would happen to Jan, Retsu, or Ran, but to Rio's quest for strength.--should've been Shafu...haha

Ran and Restu are idiots. "Oh sure, we'll save your lives from Long, but in general we hate you and think what you've done in the past is unforgivable, so we'll do what all ancient and barbaric cultures do and, instead of having a vote or some kind of trail, have a fight to the death and who ever lives is right."

Apart from Ran's and Restu's seemingly bipolar personalities when it comes to Rio and Mele, over all this has been a truly great kung-fu movie style series. Can't wait for the conclusion.

Wow how sad. I personally think Rio and Mele would've beat Retsu and Ran.

I think it's appropriate that Rio and Mele got good death scenes. It was definitely a more emotional reaction than I'd have had if, say, Gou and Ken died, or some of the Kensei. All in all, from a storytelling point of view, Rio and Mele have had much more of a journey than any of the other characters, even Jan. Although I doubt we've seen the last of those two...

Somehow I hold out hope that the next episode will be different. Sentai doesn't often kill off people...

... and, well, if that doesn't happen, there's Gekiranger vs Go-Onger! A Man Can Dream! A MAN CAN DREAM!.

(And, well, if this is just the way things are, Gekiranger has pretty much earned itself undying street cred)

Man, I'm gonna go totally nuts waiting for 49... (I thought this was the last episode!)

That was a great episode.

The final talk between Jan and Rio was probably the best Jan scene ever, it's just amazng how the character and his rivalry with Rio has changed throughout the course of the show. And the farewell, I think is probably the first and only time that Rio has actually called Jan by his real name instead of "Gekired".

The final Rio scene in the rain and Mele ending it as she had wanted to do since acquiring dorinki shows how seriously messed up Rio is, that he has to die just to find some measure of solace from the torment that Long inflicted on him as a child.

My only complaint for the episode is that there wasn't very much interaction between Shafu and Rio given their long shared history.
