What do you think? I mean honestly? It's not like we've kept up with the rest of the series and the first movie or anything.
I’m the one nightmares are afraid of.

>Its a great movie but its too short!!!! only 30 minutes sucks!!
That's how Sentai movies always are. Look at the other movies we've done
>TV Nihon will translate Gekiranger VS Boukenger??
We won't, like we never do

I could've sworn I posted in here... maybe not.
Anyways, I really enjoyed the movie. It was fun. I liked it more than the Bouken movie... but whatever.
Thanks for subbing it.

Re: GekiRanger Movie released
This is coming from a Cantonese speaker: The Cantonese that the characters were speaking is HEAVILY accented. It seems to me that the actors are Japanese and simply memorized the pronounciations off the script. I have nothing to back up the latter statement, however, as I haven't looked into the nationalities of the actors themselves. Someone is welcome to prove me wrong though.SpiritAngelo wrote:o_O ok..... Japaneses translation of the Cantonese in this show is weird ~
No ~ its not "Chinese" but Cantonese which is the more official dialect/language of Hongkong ~
Instead of "Nei Hou", it should have been "Lei Hou" ~
o_O I suddenly wonder has my cantonese gotten worse because I can barely understand most of wat was said ~
Back on topic, I found the movie/special a bit lacking in terms of the plot. It's understandable that because it's a one-shot thing, the plot wouldn't be as good as the regular series but the movie/special left me wanting more. I agree with a previous statement though: Mele VS Miranda was HOT!
And of course, thanks to TV-Nihon for subbing!

Re: GekiRanger Movie released
Merinda is definitely a Japanese actress speaking Chinese, you can tell by her stunted pronunciation that it's not her native language. I don't know about Yang, who I didn't really understand.

Re: GekiRanger Movie released
Yang's cantonese sounded really bad at the beginning when she popped up between Rio and Gekired... I couldn't make out what she was saying...
Just when she fell after that and was saying she 'failed', i thought the words were badly chosen... I mean, she 'failed'?? (I didn't see the subs because I was concentrating on her cantonese... but in cantonese, she did say she 'failed' while rubbing her head) Then again, it could be the script's fault.
I personally thought Miranda's cantonese was a lot better...
After I serached her up, I found out she is actually Taiwanese =O Makes sense, since her cantonese was actually audible... Yang's actor's name is Japanese, so I'm guessing that contributes to her accented cantonese... I don't blame her though, it's a hard language. Her 'ai ya!'s were pretty good though XD
Good movie overall, I really enjoyed it. It was definitely worth the wait XD Thanks, TV Nihon!
...Did those background machine dancer girls bug anyone else?

Re: GekiRanger Movie released
This was an enjoyable movie, albeit with a few shortcomings, but what doesn't have those?
Since Geki vs. Bouken is coming...wouldn't that classify Boukenger as incomplete? =P

When it happens, but then we'll see Bouken Red at a Red's Unite to kill evil thing here in about 10-20 years or so.

Re: GekiRanger Movie released
Because this movie probably occurs before they get the training necessary to use the individual armaments and their respective gekibeasts.Saejima Kouga wrote:I'm wondering why they didn't use the additional beasts in the movie. IE: Bat to make GekiRinBatTouja to fly after the Mechkungfu guy.
A few more salient points.
- Anyone else notice that the fight scene between the triangle and Long recycles a few of the moves in the movie between them and Yang most notably the jump and roll in the beginning, the three throwing punches at the enemy simulataneously and Jan infusing the other two with ki to hurl the enemy back.
- Since we only see four being teleported from Japan on Yang's map then RinJyuDen it seems isn't even located in Japan. Strange.
- And it seems from the dialogue that Jan isn't chinese. I had thought he was since the location of JyuGenKyo was clearly in China given the presence of Panda bears situated near it and that his father apparently came from the village situated near it.
- And no Mele and Rio in the dance in the ending. Given that they are practically Rangers (though evil ones in all, but name), I'd like to have seen them and the Gekiranger doing the dance. What a missed opportunity.
- where did you guys get the cartoony Mele with Rio's cloak thats on the front page?

Re: GekiRanger Movie released
I think RinJyuDen was in another dimension. Gekirangers couldn't find it for a long time until the end of the series.
Re: GekiRanger Movie released

Re: GekiRanger Movie released
Wow i suffer from insomia for two days and this is what I miss.
GekiRinToja was awesome as always.
Why was Natsume hiding?
The look on the Gekirangers' and Lao's faces in the credits were priceless.
Is it just me or does anyone else think that we'll hear Lao's name again in Go-onger VS Geki. Since Jan ended up in Hong Kong at the end of the series. It wouldn't be the first time something like that has happened.
Also this may just be a idea from being sleep deprived, but it's possible that toei didn't want to make a mecha formation that you can't make with the toys. I don't own any so I don't know for sure, but is it possible toywise to combine GekiBat with GekiRinToja?
