Ah, it's weird to see Mele spelled as Mere. At least they spelled Rio as it is.

Short and sweet.

Is that Bruce Lee statue? If not, who's he? Jackie Chan and Jet Li are the only ones I am at least familiar with.

If anyone was strange enough to watch DoA: Dead or Alive (*coughmecough*) the opening reminds me of just that, except instead of Eric Roberts who seems to be in everything, it's this old guy... Mele is classic Mele. In that big furry cape Rio looks so out of place! It's hilarious!

Edit: The ending theme-slash-credits though... Classic!!

I love how even though this was more like an episode or special, they got straight to the Kungfu/Kenpou and didn't dwell too much on other stuff.
Burning form was pretty cool, and I like it better than Kageki form.

The only reason it seems like DOA is cause of how that thing flies through the air and breaks through whatever it hits. :P

All 'n' all it's been a pleasure watching this! Thanks to everyone who worked on it!

Only in Gekiranger have I seen real life interpretation of Super Saiyan sans the blond hair.

Not really. Though they are both Asian languages they have some distinct difference. Chinese in, for lack of a better word, harder, more firm, and very much a consonant focused language, where in Japanese is smoother, more flowing, and a vowel focused language. Least that's what I've noticed different between the two.

Great movie...nostalgia back to the days when Rio was bad-ass and evil.

I loved Mele in this movie too!

Don't forget the guy absorbing abilities, and a bracket fight too. Oh and summoning "the best martial artists." And the hot chicks... Personality.. I think Geki was better. Mele>Live Action Kasumi

Lmao, i have great time see the different culture between Chinese and Japanese. Japanese kick their ass at the martial art match lmao. I know that Hong Kong got two language Cantonese and English since Hong Kong use to part of British empire and i once saw the tv shows about a guy know as jewels of Hong Kong because he use his own kenpou which can damage a guy's chance to produce the children after rip or squeeze the balls.

Gekiranger can own its American counterpart hehe. Jan and rio are awesome in this movie, they kick ass a lot and i feel this movie is not a movie but long version of special because it was.

Two more gekis before they are official gone from super sentai for a while.

Also GEKIRINTOUJA own any monster or mecha anytime, anywhere and the battle is awesome.
