I thought this was a pretty cool episode. I liked the game history, and learning about Takahashi-meijin reminded me of being a big NES fan as a kid, if that makes any sort of sense. Can't you imagine looking up to Takahashi-meijin as a kid?
As promised, there's bonus content in this thread.
You too can try the Shooting Watch. (Thanks to Cheetah for these links and the correction)

I only scored 65 in ten seconds. Obviously I'm not Arino level yet. How fast are you guys?
Edit: You can activate shooting mode by just hitting "B, A". You can see what mode it's on by the little mark on the bottom of the LCD
Anyway, it works just like in the show.

Great episode. And I love Master Takahashi's tip at the end. Reminds me of the Nintendo warnings.
For some reason the Meijin's depiction in the comics as well as his legend reminds me of something I read in comic books from the 70s to 90s as a child.
What? Momotaro Dentetsu? Snap!

And at that Albie cried a single tear which turned into a jelly bean all the colors of the rainbow! And

I saw that guy at Tokyo Game Show 07! He was selling that yellow "how many button presses in a minute" thing. Seemed like a nice guy. Kinda sad that his popularity peaked in the 80's with being the "16 shot in a second" man.

I can get 90 with one finger but if I use my pointer and middle finger I can get 130. Too bad most shooting games don't like it when you use two buttons so I'm stuck with 9 shots per second.

Man, my reflexes are slow compared to everyone else. I seem to get an average of 60. (6 clicks per second)
Then again, I'm not the kind of person who plays shooter games.

I can get up to 120 cps.
10 seconds is way too long. My arm cramps.
The only way to do it is to apply muscle strain on your arm to cause it to vibrate rapidly - using this motion to push the button.
Man, that baldy has talent.

181. I saw that episode and thought "Hey, I know what he's doing, I've done that for years!" It's a nervous twitch he can turn on and off, I've used it a lot for rapid fire or button mashing minigames. My score might actually be higher but my computer started beeping at me for too many inputs at once.

Around 70 for me. I guess I have a bad rhythm since the numbers pauses each couple hits.
