GameCenter [CX] Special released

Post by takenoko »

It's not over yet dudes

I kind of liked this episode because it's sort of the gateway between the first series and the second series.

The Hot Springs journal was the start of the "Visit a GameCenter sometimes" corner in the second series. I really like this kind of section because it's fun seeing Arino just go out into the world and interact with the people and games. It's like getting the arcade experience without the noise and people

Also... revenge!

...maybe?!

I love you, take-san.

You just make me feel so happy, whenever I feel depressed that Arino failed the challenge, especially the last episode. Now, to just wait for the torrent to complete the download.

Thank you Takenoko! Now Arino will get his revenge on SMB2! Kind of sad the Poketto Monsuta interview wasn't included, but who really cares. What matters is vengeance!
And at that Albie cried a single tear which turned into a jelly bean all the colors of the rainbow! And
suddenly...Albie wasn't racist anymore!!!

Finally watched the special and...

...YES! Arino finally managed to get through the last level with a help of a teenager who mastered the game, which he hits the reset button (which he wants to get past ALL 8 levels WITHOUT resorting to use the warp levels. I mean, wow!) at the last minute and we now get the ending that Arino deserved, after all that trouble. And I couldn't resist, posting this funny Engrish ending.

However, when we all think this is over, Nintendo sneakily puts in the extra level! And not only that; it's only ONE LIFE! O_O

Well, I now know that SMB2 can only be mastered by a few people who have the hands of the GameCenter God, like that teenager (who I found him really amazing as he managed to get through most of the levels WITHOUT dying).

And I really like the Hot Spring Game Journal. Makes me want to visit the place and have a go with the parrot.

The look on his face was priceless like "What? I'm not done?"

Of course though there are actually *4* more worlds each with 4 levels so unless he used Warp Zones, he had another 16 to go. Never stood a chance...

Ah I loved those Hot Spring videos. Reminded me of those Japanese travel guides they show on the local PBS affiliate. BTW, there's one in an hour!

There's like 4 or 5 bonus worlds, IIRC. To get to them you can't use warps, probably why that kid reset the game.

I thought he was just being a dick. That's seriously my favorite moment in the episode. The look Arino had on his face was priceless

Good episode loved the hot springs game center tour, I got a vacation coming up I think i'll see what the game center at the hotel is like. That kid was good at Mario 2 it's to bad he was being a punk and resetting the game on Arino just so he could go through every level and not use a warp, Arino sure was shocked when that happened, loved the 8-4 ending Engrish FTW!

actually, the only way to get to the other hidden levels besides Level 9 is extremely horrible. A very cruel condition.

Spoiler
You must beat the game EIGHT (8) times in a row. Although thankfully warps are allowed.
