Gekiranger and Kabuto actors sneak into dramas

I don't know if anyone has seen the drama Shibatora (ran Jul to Sep 2008), but I just started watching it tonight. Two actors from Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger made an appearance, though one was only in the preview.

First was Sotaro. :3

Lastly, ever since watching Kabuto I had been kind of waiting to see Sato Yuuki/Tomohito (Kagami Arata) show up in something else, but he hasn't been in much at all. Then Haiiro pointed me to a drama running this season called Giragira, and who should show up in the third episode but Kagami?

Shibatora is actually really good from what I've seen so far, which, granted, isn't a whole lot. I don't know how you'd like GiraGira, considering I think it's targeted ... very much toward females, but it's pretty good anyway. I don't know if you're active at all on livejournal, but one of the communities I'm a part of has a lot of dramas up for download. If you're interested just let me know and I'll toss you a PM or an email or something.

Update: Surprisingly, Sotaro showed up again in episode two! I didn't expect that he would be in the show any more after that first episode since he was such a minor character. ^_^ It was quite a happy surprise.

I don't know anything about it to tell you I'm afraid. I did, however, start watching Shibatora on your recommendation and even though i'm only 7mins into the first episode I already love it lol. So thanks for that! It's awesome that we can find new shows we love here, being shared with like-minded people. I'm pumped for Armor Heroes and I hope someone subs Paco And The Magical Book, or even that it gets a commercial release with subs.

Awesome, I'm glad you like it! I got hooked on it in about the same time. I honestly didn't expect it to be as great as it is. XD Bit of trivia, the girl who plays Mizuki was young Sayuri in Memoirs of a Geisha.

If I find out anything about Cafe Kichijoujide, I'll let you know. :3

Episode 4 of GiraGira came out, and it was great. Try telling me these aren't Kagami faces!

I watched the first episode of Hotelier when I learned that he was in there. I indeed found it boring too. XD Liek, I highly anticipated his appearance... and what's the first thing that I see? Him, smoking in some storage room and then running away with a girl. I told myself "Ok, goodbye Hotelier." XD

Yuki Satou was also in "1 litre of tears". Small role, but I found him funny bacause he was so geeky. xD
