What a fun episode. I really enjoy these school event type things that capture the feeling of being young. It's got a lot of fun little moments too, like Chisato trying to will the canary guy away. Or Miku stepping on Chisato's foot. The song was fairly nice as well.

Weird. Chisato just typed in FAITO and it turned into a Japanese emoticon. Handy.

What's a scandaleuse? (It's on Chisato's shirt)

Looks like the next episode starts an interesting arc. Looking forward to that.

...why didn't they just lift the voice lock?

Logic aside, I really enjoyed this episode. It was a good reminder of why I enjoy Megaranger - it has a nice way of blending the ordinary life elements, kooky humor, and serious moments together.

Chisato running away and trying to pretend that Nejirejia isn’t really attacking was a pretty funny sequence.

Canary Nejire had some fun items that were used for the weapon swap, but the Battle Riser being replaced by a MegaRed watch was the best.

Just had a good laugh when I looked up the "old man"s VA on wiki and realized it was Solid Snake
Metal Gear series (Solid Snake, Solidus Snake, Naked Snake, Old Snake, Motion Capture actor for Big Boss)

It's French. It means scandalous, shocking, shameful. It's an adjective.

I like the double blade arm attack and the effects used when Canary used battle riser.

Wouldn't MegaSilver been helpful in a situation like this, beyond showing up during the mecha battle for two mins? It's kinda like Dragonranger all over again.

Yay! More Megaranger!

For as goofy as this episode looked in the preview, it worked out rather well. Though I am left wondering where exactly the Nejirejia crew went, considering they're on a trans-dimensional spaceship with nowhere else to really go.

And Take, did you change your encoding process? There's some kind of scan line artifacting going on in this encode; it's especially noticeable during the mecha fight. None of the previous Megaranger encodes did this.

I didn't notice anything. Can you please take a screenshot so that we could know of what you're talking about?

Sure thing. The scan line effect is best seen in motion, but it's not too hard to take screenshots of in certain places. These are best viewed blown up to full screen, particularly the MegaVoyager set.

MegaVoyager (Look at the center of the image where it should be pure black)

Ep37

MegaWinger (Look at the sun surrounding the ship)

INET: We can build space ships, giant robots, lasers, and magic spandex, but reprogramming Siri is beyond our technology.

Maybe it goes back to that whole "bonding" thing from the first episode? Maybe, in addition to the suits being permanently bonded to them and useless to anyone else, the voice lock can't be reprogrammed either (though that wouldn't explain why you couldn't just unlock it for a second). Sort of like a vinyl record: once it's cut, you can't write over it.

Logic flaws aside, I kind of like the fact that voice recognition is recquired. Having a password not only makes sense, it makes the whole henshin thing seem a little less absurd because it explains why one would shout (and risk drawing attention) in the first place. The sequence in this show is fairly straightforward to begin with, though, not a lot of added flair: stick an arm out, shout it, and press some buttons. They're not flailing around all over the place like some other shows.

On a related note, Dairanger's henshin device doesn't even work most of the time in the real world. Not the transformation, obviously, I'm talking about the physical aspect of it. I own an Aurachanger: I can tell you from experience that the ring of the right brace almost never finds its way into the left brace, even if you do it really slowly.

I heard Monty Python music playing at that school festival. Nice funny episode, certainly a villain lite episode i'm guessing everyone else was filming the upcoming arc. If it was that easy to get their weapons back couldn't they have just taken back after Canary Nejirejia was knocked down before they beat a retreat, also wonder if their were unused designs for the Mega weapons with the way Canary Nejirejia had them combined?
