Hi, sorry, can you do me a favor and stop calling them "dubs"? I've noticed this before and it's just sorta annoying, since normally what we do is called "subs" while "dubs" are shows that are redone with English voices (like anime and whatnot aired on American television).
These are fansubs, not dubs.
It's never too late to fix a mistake. There're five episodes left, that's five more episodes on top of the previous one that can be fixed.
With your logic, it's okay to mispronounce "Duck" in a preschool, saying, "THE F-VERSION WAS FINE LOLOLOL"

Hope you're not implying they go back and resub the series over one letter?

No, what I was saying is, it would be silly to keep that one letter for the last few episodes. Why would they continue to use a wrong name, if they still had time to fix it for the remainder?

I think some translations are not so appropriate.

The "ikkan" in "Ikkan Kenjou" is not "consistently" or "1000 coins".
It is the quantifier for sushi.
For example, 1 piece of sushi is "ikkan", 2 pieces of sushi is "nikan" and so on.
And, "ikkan kenjou" is usually a more honor way of saying "serving 1 piece of sushi".

And, the "jyuu" in "Go-jyuu no Tachi" or "Yon-jyuu no Tachi" is not "heavy".
"go-jyuu" is "quintuple", and "yon-jyuu" means "quadruple",
just like "single", "double", "triple" and so on.
It is something like you overlap the things a few times.

I have a question bout' Ippitsu Soujo.
Wouldn't it be odd for the translation to say emperor,
but Takeru is a lord of a feudal-like era that happens to take place in modern era?

^It's probably just for tradition. Remember, whether it be just samurais or the lord himself, they all reported to the Emperor.

Besides, modern-era Japan still has an Emperor, so it's not like the Shinkengers are reporting to someone that doesn't exist.

Ahh, didn't know that. Just saying the samurai thing was like 1760's.

Wasn't Samurai reporting to the shogun which was not the emperor?

...yes, and in turn the shogun reported to the Emperor, so in essence samurais did report to the emperor. Sure, there were times when shoguns held more power than the Emperor, but the Emperor was always considered the "legitimate" ruler (until after WWII).

It's like that with any kingdom/empire that had a feudal system. In Europe, the knights would swear loyalty to their lords, but in the end, it's the King who everyone is supposed to be loyal to. Same with Japan; like I said earlier, whether it be just samurais or the lord or shogun himself, everyone reported to the Emperor.

anamaru, it's usually not a good idea to post in a dead thread that no one's posted to in over a year just for a throwaway single word expression of gratitude. That's called necroing: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ... 142AAsWegF

It just fills up the forum with unnecessary posts and activates threads past the point where there's an active conversation
