Its time for the Shinkenger movie

Its the quest to find the founders missing hiden disk

The nanashi are fairly stupid falling for that old trick
That Hiden disk looks like its made out of wood
Message in a bottle thats very unhelpful
Shinkengers fighting on horseback, how old school :P
Those nanashi look a tad decade pink
Juuzu wanting to continue his fight and the most inconvenient of times, go him
Thats one super flexy sword
That head really does look wrong where it comes out of
Shinkengers singing?

Man that was a short movie, oh well, still fun none the less.

Dont forget to check out the promo for Shinkenger Vs Go-Onger and the 3D instruction video people got to see when they saw the movie in 3D

[Cough]

Aside from the length, which did feel a little shorter than the typical sentai movie, it was pretty good. There were spots that could have been expanded on, but it managed to be a complete story without feeling too rushed. Genta's character felt a little off, but I think I remember reading that this movie was the first thing he filmed. If that's true, it would make sense that they hadn't completely fleshed out his character yet.

Oh, how I laughed that Takeru asked Kotoha and Ryuu for an idea when something odd is needed...and Kotoha's response! Even Ryuunosuke had to accept that he's odd in the face of her acceptance and backhanded compliment. Their solution was pretty amusing.

Loved the revamped ending theme footage. I was a little disappointed the viewers got saddled with team-up footage up until the end of the series instead of the normal ending, so it was nice to see the original style used and improved upon. I cracked up when Mako pushes Genta's hands off her shoulders at the very beginning - it's so random. I also liked Chiaki pointing at Kotoha for the "Shy smile" line, since I always assumed that line was a reference to her. Neat to see the auxiliary Origami get added to the background for their respective wielders.

The extras were also neat. The Shinkenger cast chatting back and forth with Tsukasa about their movies (and the obligatory Ryuunosuke abuse at the beginning) was cute. I was under the impression that the Sentai movie airs first in the double feature, so I was a little surprised to hear that Decade was shown first.

well, that was, disappointing. i could barely get into it since it was so short. 20 minutes, that's shorter than an episode to have a whole war in it. i guess now i know why i was salivating over decade versus all riders. back in 08 i couldn't wait to see the go-on movie and that one was good. this one was too rushed almost. hopefully shinken v. go-on is better. still that battle was great, it's a sword, it's a whip, it;s a dinosaur, it's, what the hell is this thing.

Much better then I was expecting. Mainly the choreography was good as always. Horse back fights, a well choreographed Rekkadaizantou fight.

Some ending madness including Genta forcing his way into the ending. Kinda makes me sad we never got it for the series.

Addendum: And is it just me or are they all exaggerating their characters in the promo, except for Takeru, who is completely out of character?

Ignoring the length. It was a fun movie to watch. Was Genta's voice sounding a bit deeper than normal? It could of been some sort of early idea, since this is what he filmed first.

It was better than Decade's movie, but still it could've been better if it wasn't short changed by Toei for All Rider's. It was nice seeing the team sing the ending theme & the extra stuff they did for it.

Ugh. Are people really going to complain about how short the Sentai movies are every single year? It's not that it's short changed, these movies are always 20-30 minutes long

I bet this has been discussed to the point of a dead horse, but I find it amusing that something shorter than the normal running length of an episode of the same series can be called a movie. Are Super Sentai movies usually this short?

I'm not sure if this is the place for the 3D release... but my glasses didn't work, I used the glasses that came in my Coraline DVD, but if it worked for anyone else, can you tell me where you got your glasses from?

Amazon says the glasses that come with Coraline are red and blue. Maybe try to get some red and green cellophane?

^I thought movie theaters stopped using anaglyph/anachrome 3D glasses and use polarized 3D glasses so that the colors aren't distorted.

I was surprised that despite the impression left by the previews, there isn't any time travel involved.

This movie was definitely filled with more Freudian imagery than normal.

The conversations between Juuzou and Genta was fun. It's too bad that this dynamic wasn't developed further in the show instead of making their interactions all about Takeru.

All's well that ends well. Through time!

Also, floppy sword power! Neat. And horses with enough luck to be in a dynasty warriors game! And scooby doo disguises! And happy 3D singing! I like happy 3D singing with scooby doo disguises and horseback demon slaying.

Look at the glasses in the 3D glasses clip, they are polarized. The problem is that 3D TVs aren't readily available yet, so 3D DVDs still use the red/blue, red/green thing
