I happened to see this article today about Bandai selling transforming kanji creature toys and made me think about Shinkenger and its Origami. I know it's not exactly the same thing when you see them but you can't avoid thinking of Shinkenger though.

Nice. Would love to have one. It has potential for a background story too and be adapted either to manga or anime.
