Hi there

I just wanted to say, you guys did a fantastic job with this game mod.

In fact, I'm doing a let's play of it that will be steadily posted through the next week or two.

Also...reading back in the topic, I noticed this list of ideas for possible MM8 bosses, and couldn't help but be kinda sad that W isn't Showa era...since he'd be a great substitute for Search Man.

Search Man will probably be Riders 1 and 2, Stronger and Tackle, Amazon on Jungler or something. I can't remember if 8 has Blues, but if so I can make Blues into Double or something though chances are I'll make him someone else. Like I said, though, if they do Rockman and Forte, that one will be the all out massive development, and will most likely have Double in it..

As I recall, Protoman was only in MM8 for the Duo intermission stage (in sprite form at least, he's in a few animated cutscenes as well), and since the group didn't do the intro/mid-stage for the MM7 port, it'll be highly unlikely that they'll implement it for this game (though it'd be cool if they did). And even then, he's only there for a second of text and gone again. So, even if they did leave it in, he might as well just be kept as Kuuga IMO.

Though...W might make a good analog of R&F's version of Astro man, with the Copy vision attack and all.

I gotta say. YOU'RE THE MAN!

The fact i spend most of i days infront of the computer at school with little to no good games to play cause the work computers we use here from 08.00 til 15.30 is bullshit.

Alright, so here's my list of who gets replaced to what Riders and weapons for Rockman 8 FC, if it is possible to mod the graphics of course.

Tenguman - Skyrider (Sailing Jump Scarf: creates whirlwinds)
Clownman - Riderman (Power Arm)
Grenademan - Black RX (Vortech Shooter)
Frostman - Stronger (Electro Fire)
Aquaman - X (Ridolstick: slings water bomb)
Swordman - Amazon on Jungler (Dai Setsudan)
Searchman - ZX (Focus Bomb)

Duo - Ichigo or Ichigo and Nigo
Blues/Protoman - Nigo or V3

Neo Lifeform might work better as Green Devil since it's already a green blob.

Also, shouldn't Proto Man be Kuuga and Bass be Diend?

In case you didn't get the clue, this is based off of the films where the original was based off the series. Not to mention you don't get the Blues Shield this time around. The character replacements are based on the fights that occur or on the fighting style or origin of the Rider.

I'd figure that much, but it's more of a consistency thing. Plus it's still a Decade-esque theme.

Consistency doesn't really have anything to do with it. 8 is going to be movie based, and since in the movies, Diend doesn't fight Decade, and Kuuga does, it just makes sense to have Forte be changed to Ultimate Kuuga. Diend doesn't really play all that big of a role in the films.

Some really nice ideas here. Looks like you tried very hard to match up actual Rider attacks to the Master weapons.

I keep getting this awesome image of Amazon being launched off Jungler into an Amazon kick, then rebounding off the boss room wall (an analogue to Sword Man's Fire Slash of course).

I'm very curious to see how Doras as the Green Devil will work (of course pending the ability to mod the graphics as you said).

Are you going to keep Wily Boss 1 & 2 the same? Cause Wily Boss 2 would make a cool Super Crisis Fortress.

Wily form 1 or 2? 1 is when he has the big canon and Duo knocks it off, 2 is when he's in his bubble flyer and shooting out balls of energy.

Sorry, I should have added 'stage' to the term boss. My bad.

I meant the first two level bosses of the Skull fortress.

Edit: just to elaborate, its the dropping boss in the first level and the in-flight boss

I'll have to go through the Wily Fortress fights again to remember what it like, but if it's comparable to the Kreis Fortress at all, I'll probably do it.
