Making a 'complete pack release' after a show/season/whatever is finished is perfectly fine.
It's not a different product in the end, you just decide when and how to spend your money (1-2 episodes at a time, or the whole thing).
They do this to get more money for the same creation cost and it's ok, as long they're not trying to get that money from the _same people_ .
The ones who bought first are the 'enstabilished fanbase'.
Analogy with videogames:

It's exactly like what it's happening with digital distribution for some games: you buy the dd version of a game.
They release DLC. You buy the DLC. It's your choice and everything's fine.
Except that sometimes, for less acclamated games, after ~6 months they release the full game+all the DLC and if you already have the game you can't just buy the DLCs anymore. Even with a discount, you're basically paying 150% the initial value.

It's not a welcomed practice since the 'enstabilished fanbase' that made the distribution of extra content even possibile is given the middle finger by this strategy: they gave money first, they end up paying more than the others if they want the same thing.
