SWD's Japan trip

Post by Silentwolfdog »

As some of you may have already knew. I got an opportunity to go to Japan and stay there for 8 nights, last June. So some members wanted to see pictures and listen to my tale.

For now I will post few pictures and add more later with more explanation. Of course you are free to ask any questions.

Let's start with toku/tvn stuff. Once I covered all that, I will move on to Japan culture related stuff which is reason why I posted in this section.

Toys mostly from the trip to Akihabara.

Yo Oga! Here's a pic I promised. (A group at Ueno Park.)

LOL, Garo. Awww, too bad they put the price things on the cards. Can you remove those without damaging them?

Ok here's probably last of toku related pictures before I move on to Japan culture stuff.

Recognize this shrine? Yeah, because it was one that was used in Akihabara@Deep.

Akiba section I guess. You can see how busy it is. O.o

Soda, toku-themed. Kinda taste like Sprite but fruity? Not too bad.

Movie poster at movie theater I went to. I saw the last one of the trilogy. I enjoyed it, and not many people went there since I picked the day where kids are still in school, lol.

Ganbaride. I played it few time and won em all. You pay 100 yen and it will give you a card to keep. You put a card in for it to scan so it can use rider that you wanted. Neat game. At arcade in mall where I watched the movie.

Dice-O. Wow, I was surprised at this one. Becuz I picked the shinkenger team to go against CPU. Instead of Shinken Yellow, I used Shinken Gold. Out of all team they could have picked, they picked shinkenger team but only with female shinken red! Her team had shinken yellow. Just when I thought I was gonna beat them, near at end, they used something and kicked my team's butt so badly. When match ended, I was a bit stunned. Maybe because I won all at ganbaride that I thought same thing will happen. Nope. I still laugh to this day because of what happened.

When playing either machine, you kinda have to bent down a bit because it's at low height since it's aimed for children of course.

Something I saw across bridge from my hotel. Had no idea what this is but thought it's neat to see anime picture on building. Didn't go in because I wasn't sure what it was for.

On the last pic, I got "Bike Conbini", so I think it was a sort of convenience store.

Sorry for not answering sooner.

Mine took about 15 hours I think with one change. I had to go from NC to NY to change airplane before going to Japan. NC to NY took like one hour, then it's off to Japan. Around 14 hours I guess.

Neat thing is, airplane don't go straight over pacific ocean, it goes north, near Alaska before fly down to Japan.

Bring hand sanitizer and toilet paper, some public restrooms don't have soap or toilet paper.
