This episode pointed out something that's been bothering me for a few episodes now. The story between her and her father kind of sucks and ruins Hakase's character. And the story knows it. Hakase was a lot more fun before this story arc.

Takuma's exit was pretty great.

The jackets are interesting. They say Unofficial Sentai AkibaRanger. So they translate Hikounin but not Sentai.

Is Hakase's uniform a reference to something?

Yes, it's a reference to Commander Aya's uniform from Choujin Sentai Jetman.

Such a magnificent episode. A plot-driven episode, with character development, a sudden twist at the end AND still the guaranteed Akibaranger humour.

Guess Nobuo has to find another dream now (his dream was for the Akibaranger to be official in a Sunday show).

I really enjoyed all the Sun Vulcan references, and I feel happy to have personally thought about them beforehand.

Hakase now feels much better than before without a scorpion curse.

And at last we can understand why the "curse upon touching the Moe Moe Zukyuun" seemed strange - it was... someone else's fault.

Nonetheless, the three Akibaranger remain as cool as ever. We might have had this twist in the story but Nobuo only just realised. That means his first henshin in the real world, when he was being really passionate, was an emotionally "true" or pure scene.

I don't like it that we are near the end, but this show just keeps getting better all the time, so the finale should be great.

Oh and... good children shouldn't watch next time either...

I love how they managed to merge a Dairanger reference in with a Geki reference.

I found it interesting when the three were describing which part of the heart-body-technique triangle they were, they were the opposites to their GekiRanger color counterparts.

Takuma was heart, which was Jan's weakest.
Mitsuki was body, which was Retsu's weakest.
Yumeria was technique, which was Ran's weakest.

It seemed slightly late in the series to do the executive meddling episode, but I still appreciate it.

Especially the halting of the promotional text at the bottom.

I like the part when AkibaBlue is like "When did he get his bike?" and Akagi is like, "Just ignore that detail." Also the second verse of the OP made me realize the entire song is a parody.

Retsu's twin brother is the Shin Akiba Red and he was heart but he still used Geki Jaguar.

Oooh! Shin AkibaRed. A pun on new/heart?

That was pure genius! They fooled me. I thought they were going to do a reconstruction after the initial deconstruction, but they deconstructed it even more. Nobuo noticed they are inside a TV show. And rebelled against the producers. You can't get more meta than that. It's like that episode with Daffy vs. the artist.

Tons of Gekiranger and Sun Vulcan references. NobuCna shipping. Serious action and lot's of parodies.

Man, this show is almost too good to be true.

I definitely enjoyed this episode. One twist after another and yet they're making sense!

Although, something as been bothering me ever since I saw the RAW version of this. Not sure if its a spoiler or not but I'll add the tags anyway



Besides the voice dub being off on Nobuo in the beginning, when he hands over the MMZ to Takuma, you can see a line between the screen. Like two different filters where used. Just look at MMZ and the mecha prop in the back at the middle. The color is off. I've heard some compare it to Power Rangers' "peace conference" situation. They don't show Nobou's face save when he's by himself, handshake looks weird, the dub is slightly off at the beginning, and finally the aforementioned hand off of the MMZ.

It kind of fits with Nobou realizing they're in a TV show.

EDIT: Oh, and way to go Nobou for stealing second base.
