The writers must really hate the Freshman Team. Not to mention that they were so close this time too. That means they only have one last chance to win when Gentarou becomes a future host of the quiz.

Also, I did kinda laugh when I found out that the name of Miu and Gentarou's team is Trash Queen Team.

I dunno, I found Yuuki's singing to be kind of annoying, but maybe it's because I had to work on the script.

Do you really think that the quizzes are scripted? I'd be kind of disappointed if they were. I just assume they're mostly adlibbed.

That's a good question. I'd be curious to find out if that's how the teams really think or not. If so, then no love for the Freshman team from the staff, I guess.

What makes you guys think this is scripted? The host got scripts to read off but it's a live recording, they even pointed that out in this episode. For example, the way Yuuki's actress suddenly go off on her favorite constellation. and forgot the name of its brightest star don't look scripted.

I find Yuuki's actress' antics kind of charming. I like how when asked "Why is his mouth exposed?", she seemed unfazed and just cooked up an answer and ran with it. I think she's the best host so far.

This is just me but I think there's no problem to just put in "Marshall Armor" instead of "Yoroi Gensui".

Oh, I didn't know Gensui was a rank. General Yoroi would have been better. But the Yoroi in his name is in katakana so it'd be overtranslating it to call him "Armor", since I'm pretty sure that's his name and he's not just an empty suit of armor, right? It'd be like calling Ikari Gai "Gallant Hunter Armor", just because the name means something doesn't mean it should be translated.

Besides, Marshall Armor is pretty stupid sounding, it sounds like his first name is Marshall like the guy on How I met your Mother.

Thanks for the clarification on what JK said. I honestly didn't think he said swing arm again, but I couldn't figure out what else he was saying. The Japanese wiki I consulted didn't mention it either.

LOL I see. I didn't realize the "Yoroi" is in katakana, so leaving in Yoroi would be better, though he is a guy wearing a heavy suit of armor. Naming in old-school Kamen Rider is really wacky. I mean, Ambassador Hell(Jigoku Taishi) and Ambassador Darkness(Kurayami Taishi) are mean SOBs, but I remember snickering at the names the first time I heard it.

Hell and Darkness are sorta menacing, so I can get that (I'm sure there are cartoon villains with similar names). It's just that knowing the guy's name is Yoroi and he wears an armor comes off as like the Literal Lyrics to Take On Me. It's like, "Oh yeah, of course he's wearing an armor. Let's call him Captain Armor." Except armor isn't terrifying or meaningful, it's just what he's wearing, y'know?

Let's overthink this a bit more. Kamen Rider Blade and his gang have cool names because weapons are cool. It's like the guy's identity is his weapon. That doesn't work with passive things like armor, unless they're really special. I can see why they didn't take Yoroiden Samurai Troopers and call it Legendary Armor Samurai. The armor is a big part of that show, but it doesn't have the same flair? Also, dub names are bad and dubs are bad.

This made me go on wikipedia to look at the Kamen Rider V3 page. And it is the trend of the villain naming in the show. There's Baron Kiba(キバ男爵) of the Fang Clan, Archbishop Tsubasa(ツバサ大僧正) of the Wing Unit, and Marshall Yoroi(ヨロイ元帥) of the Armor Division.

Fair enough, I mean, I haven't seen the show myself to know if it fits within the context of the show. I'm just merely expressing my reaction to it based on what I know.

Wow, talk about foreshadowing. Joujima Yuuki can be that baby! Well no. 2 is not possible unless Yuuki is a Kaijin! In a sense Yuuki is Gemini so technically she is a Kaijin.

Yeah, the timing with the episode release was pretty good. I'm pleased.

I found it weird that even though it's Riderman episode, the cover for all the question is V3.
Maybe it's because all of them are from V3 tv episode. But if so, why don't they use Riderman's?
