Rescue Fire 25 released
The Japanese Indiana Jones is revealed and the director is back. Man things are going to be intense.

The good old director is back in a special appearance and was awesome as usual. The Japanese Indiana Jones being Taiga's brother was a nice surprise. The orphanage makes its return to give Tatsuya the focus he needs to "drive" X-Dragon which its robo mode reminds of a GM from the original Gundam 0079 series. Its Final Rescue with the ramp was neat and would have cool to use in Go-Onger.

Re: Rescue Fire 25 released
Apparently Asuka is some queen or princess on another show, I saw an ad for Rescue Fire from there.
Man, a standard power up through seemingly irrelevant training, except for the fact that the instructor is the original Kamen Rider. What a manly man! I bet he could have said anything and it would have come out cool
X-Dragon Robo is pretty cool looking too. More humanoid than Rescue Max. It's a pity they have to control it from the outside though
I still have a problem with Fire-1's character, but the episode was pretty good

Awesome ep and a amazing sub job Nihon crew.
Ok that fire demon got disrespected so badly. What is it lately with all the falcon punchs i've been seeing lately. Rescue Fire is turning into a pretty awesome show. I love it.

Yeah, I really like the design of it too. It's very spiffy-looking.takenoko wrote:X-Dragon Robo is pretty cool looking too. More humanoid than Rescue Max. It's a pity they have to control it from the outside though
I wondered about the robot too, since I remembered you saying in an earlier thread that the gimmick for the Rescue Fire toys was the cars sliding out of the front of the vehicle, which wouldn't lend itself well to a humanoid robot. So I'm guessing the reason they control it from the outside is probably because the toy reacts to Rescue Megaphone in some way (much like the FireDragon toy).
At first I wondered if they were going to use a double for the Director chopping wood, but I noticed he was always totally in the frame as he did it, thus proving his manliness. I also noticed it didn't show Tatsuya fully in the shot where he chopped the wood, meaning they probably used a double for him. I can't laugh at that though. I mean I know I couldn't chop that wood either if I tried.

Fujioka Hiroshi is pretty hardcore in real life. Just look at his website:

The guy did his own stunts in the original KR before breaking a few bones. I say he's pretty hardcore.

Re: Rescue Fire 25 released
It looks like it will be a while before the HD release so I might as well comment before I forget.
Being a child of the 80s, this episode reminded me of the Karate Kid movies.
*Mr. Miyagi hammers a nail with one strike*
Qsuke was funny, calling X-Dragon his little brother. X-Dragon is pretty cool when it copied the finishing pose with Fire-1.
I finally understand what seems so familiar about Tatsuya. He is a lot like Naruto. Both are a bit childish, have orange as their signature color, and aren't the sharpest tool in the shed. They have a tendency to be loud and obnoxious but are never mean-spirited. Naruto has a unusually large amount of chakra which is similar to how Tatsuya has the biggest Rescue Soul on the team. Both of them also have funny speech quirks.

Re: Rescue Fire 25 released
I dunno, Naruto at least has some redeeming qualities and some real emotions at times. Not to say Tatsuya doesn't, but it's definitely not as pronounced. Plus Naruto has a great voice actor while Tatsuya's actor isn't so great

Rescue Fire 25 HD has been released now. Sorry for the wait but if it didn't exist over a week, there's nothing we can do but wait for it to exist.

Re: Rescue Fire 25 released
Better than last episode, but I'm still a little leery at the turn the last few episodes Rescue Fire has taken. They started off so strong that this patch of "average" episodes feels less than average.
I thought it was very sweet that the "smiles are the best" mantra came up again. That's the Tatsuya that I enjoyed watching. His silent head jerk to move the fight somewhere else was awesome.
As soon as X appeared, I figured it was inevitable for us to get an episode where Qsuke gets jealous of X...and then he called him his little brother. Too funny.

Re: Rescue Fire 25 released
I guess the writers decided that it was worth pressing the suspension of disbelief in the last episode with Tatsuya losing his way just to have the Director come in and snap him out of it.
I know what you mean though. I feel like this episode would have been kind of dull if not for the Director's fantastic acting. It just feels like all the little interesting sub plot bits have fallen to the side line for a kind of obvious main story line

Re: Rescue Fire 25 released
With that training sequence in the beginning, I thought it meant Tatsuya would stop being such a fireball. Oh well.
Is it just me or does Hiroshi Fujioka have a subtle, but commanding presence when on screen?
