Re: Rescue Fire 44 released
Kerberos Dragon, reminds me of God Striker. Okay well, it's still one less vehicle than the God Striker... And where's Rescue Crane? But it's nice to see them combining the Force and Fire vehicles together.

Re: Rescue Fire 44 released
Saeki-san is lucky to have two guys fighting over him...
At first I thought Hikaru was actually taking notes on Qsuke's lecture. Then I noticed he was just using his fingers.
Qsuke being left behind in the car... yeah, that's not going to end well.
Kerberos Dragon is nice. Instead of launching just the car as a finisher, it launches its entire self. Too bad the combination doesn't include the other Fire Rescue vehicles besides Fire Dragon. Maybe they'll save that for the end...

Re: Rescue Fire 44 released
It was nice to hear "Save the life" again. Also nice to see Hikaru more focused on rescuing injured persons and Tatsuya concerned more about defeating the fire demons, since that's roughly how the focus of their respective shows break down.
I find it very ironic that R1 was in the opening credits for 29 episodes and (as far as I can recall) Hikaru never appeared in an episode, yet he's been in four since R1 stopped appearing in the credits.
Also ironic - Tatsuya having a henshin device with artificial intelligence and capable of independent movement, yet usually being the one that can't get to his megaphone when he needs it most.
Loved the return of Tatsuya's nonsense speech. Poor thing still isn't very good at expressing himself. Hikaru's pantomime of taking notes during Qsuke's lecture was equally as funny.
Generally speaking, it was nice to see Rescue Force play a meaningful role in the last two episodes.

Re: Rescue Fire 44 released
I thought it was weird to compare the leads between the two shows. I don't think R1 was ever supposed to be a leader for the group, since he starts as a rookie and kind of wins the respect of his peers. Yet Hikaru seems a lot more charming and together than Tatsuya, despite both of them filling the role as "reckless young man hero" types.
However in Rescue Fire, Fire-1 is clearly a leader role that's something to be envied over, or something... I guess Tatsuya's deal is that he's more heart and luck than anything else? It just wasn't a flattering comparison, even though he's the star of this show

Re: Rescue Fire 44 released
I remembered when watching this episode was "When did Hikaru became so capable?" It was like the old Hikaru was in Tatsuya. As take said, in Rescue Force, it was clearly defined that Hikaru wasn't the leader but in Rescue Fire, people wanted to be Fire-1 and supposed to be the field leader of the group. I guess that the point of the comparison that Tatsuya could end up as Hikaru now is because back then, Hikaru was more like Tatsuya.
Also, I like the old uniform that Hikaru used to wear back in the day. He doesn't look good in the captain uniform.

Actually we don't know where Hikaru put on the suit. If anything, it could be like the Rescue Force movie when R0 had his equipment changer in the truck of his car.The Virginian wrote:I find it odd that R1 can chaksou anywhere now when in Rescue Force he could only chaksou at Rescue Pheonix.

Re: Rescue Fire 44 released
Let's not forget that there was an episode of Rescue that dealt with Hikaru's latent leadership potential. When the members went their separate ways, Hikaru had to become a leader in order to mentor the new recruits for Rescue Force. Similarly, Taiga must see some latent leadership potential in Tatsuya which is why he purposely made Hikaru and Tatsuya spend time together.

I really liked the episode, it was nice to see Hikaru again. But wasn't Rescue Force supposed to be based in America? Why did he say he wanted Saeki in Europe?????? Anyways, Kerberos Dragon looks really good and the new colors for the Medium Vehicles are nice. And to answer Zeta_Gundam, Rescue Crane was next to Fire Dragon's Cannons at the top. And which vehicle is missing for God Striker????

Rescue Force was moved to the European branch of the UFDA. This has been shown a few times.Zazelle wrote:I really liked the episode, it was nice to see Hikaru again. But wasn't Rescue Force supposed to be based in America? Why did he say he wanted Saeki in Europe??????
There is a American branch, that's where Tsubasa and Jun did their training. They have gone back there a few times.
