Ultraman Series Grabs Guinness World Records

Post by Uzur9 »

Tsuburaya's hero of light, Ultraman was recently awarded by the Guinness Book of World Records for "a television series having the most number of spin-offs". Present in the awarding are a few Ultraman, including the latest hero, Ultraman Ginga and his host, Hikaru Raido (Takuya Negishi).

Probably Ultraman Towards the Future, a show that aired in the US during the 90s. If you've never seen Ultraman before, maybe try Nexus or UltraSeven X? They're fairly different from the usual Ultramen formula, so it might be better to get them out of the way.

What I've heard is that Ultraman actually had the award since 2001.

Can you verify that with some citation?

Besides, the news is about the event that Guinness is acknowledging Ultraman which is something that happened this year.

I can't, sorry.
It was just something I picked up when reading a discussion on twitter.

Looks like Star Trek held if for 1997-1999.

And I see Dyna, Gaia, and Cosmos added from 1997 to 2001.

It looks relatively countable if someone wants to bring up a list of Star Trek series/spin offs.
