Kamen Rider W - The Music Thread
Well, since the other thread has been locked because people can't bother readin the rules, I'm doin a specific thread for the music department of Double. And I would like to not see any "where's the d/l?" / "gimme some mp3s" / when the PV will be subbed?" kind of posts here. Please.
Anyway, let's start. The OP theme CD single [W-B-X ~W Boiled Extreme~, Aya Kamiki and TAKUYA] will be released 11st of november, in two versions as usual.
The CD only [AVCA-29380]
The CD+DVD version [AVCA-29379]
The tracklist is the same for both versions, and is as follows:
01. W-B-X ~W Boiled Extreme~
02. W-B-X Hard Boiled Jazz Edit.
03. W-B-X ~W Boiled Extreme~ instrumental
The ED theme single is not only one, but at least three of them.
There's "Cyclone Effect" by Labor Day [AVCA-29409], that goes on sale the 25th of november. No tracklist or artwork available yet. The other two ED singles are gonna be "Free Your Heat" [AVCA-29483], by Galveston, and "Finger on the Trigger" [AVCA-29484], artist is Florida Keys. These two will be on shelves in december, 16th.
The same day will hit the stores also the 1st Double O.S.T. [AVCA-29485]. For all these four releases no tracklist or artwork available yet.
Everything is up for preorder at CD-Japan right now.

Oh, snap. W-B-X Hard Boiled Jazz Edit!? I think I might cry. The tears may be of either pure happiness or from the pain of witnessing so much condensed amazing.
But seriously though, what are these EDs? I know they occasionally play them in-episode as a change-of-pace battle muzak, but I've never actually seen the ending credits... For the longest time, I thought that all Kamen Rider episodes didn't even have ending credits until I saw the TV-Nihon releases of Hibiki. =\

They don't have ending credits. Only Hibiki and Kuuga had them.

The ending theme is the song that plays over the battle, which typically is at the end. That's why I usually call them battle songs instead of ending or outro themes, since there is no outro video sequence.

Re: Kamen Rider W - The Music Thread
But they're Kamen Rider series, and they had EDs. Thus, relevant.

Re: Kamen Rider W - The Music Thread
I'm going to have to go with Ookalf there. The original person asking the question was just talking about Kamen Rider in general. He probably hasn't seen any Showa, but he didn't indicate he only meant Heisei Riders

Anyways, back on topic, I suppose. I'm going to back through the released episodes and try and figure out which of the EDs I'm looking forward to the most. If the henshin-tune is any indication of the style of their respective EDs, I think my money's on "Free Your Heat".
