I don't really know if this is a problem or not. Does anyone remember if in W 1-10 they did the overlapping voices for W's catchphrase and finishers? I decided to rewatch W this morning and this is really bugging me. I could've sworn they at least started doing it in episode 5... Anyway, I wanted to know if for 1-10 I should only be hearing Shotaro's voice during the finishers and quote. I thought it might be because I updated VLC, but I just tried Media Player Classic and WMP and they're both doing it too...
Edit: Also apparently it's just 1-10, the later episodes don't have this issue.

Reason: moved the topic and changed the title as its not a problem with the encoding, but rather the dubbing

Re: Kamen Rider W voice question
the dubbing by the studio is probably the cause here, if you check the early Den-O eps during the possession modes, you can hear both voices instead of just one,
It might have taken some time to get the dual dubbing done right

Re: Kamen Rider W voice question
Ah, I see. Thanks.
Edit: I'm sorry, I just tried it in VLC again and tried messing with the audio channels and when I set it to left I can only hear Phillip's voice, and when I set it to right or stereo it's only Shotaro's voice.

They do for all of them. If you use headphones, you can hear the voice coming from the respective side of the rider, as opposed to the overlapping from a crappy mono speaker.

Oh. That makes sense. I did get worse speakers a while back. Thanks a lot.
