At least the helmets are cool. I looked at an artist's rendition of the Goseija and the helmets looked like cheap ripoffs of the Ohranger helmets. I also heard that the Pink Ranger has a split personality, so they consider the other half to be the Sixth Ranger. Can anyone confirm or deny?

In the past decade Hurricanger, Abaranger, Gekiranger and Go-Onger have only had one girl in their core teams.

Note that three of the series you mentioned are three-man core teams. It seems traditional to have a two-to-one ratio of guys to girls in a three-man sentai (not surprising, since guys always outnumber the girls). Also worth mentioning is that Go-Onger added another girl (IIRC, it's uncommon to add female "sixth rangers"), and if Mele kinda sorta counts as another female 'ranger' in Geki. Oh, and Hanto was practically a girl in Go-Onger anyway....

As for Goseiger, I'm excited! I love the look of these designs with the black and gold motif. However, what I'm really curious about is the villains. For me, villains make the sentai- my favourites are Geki and Magi. Whatever else you say about them, the villains in those series at least had things going on. I really hope this series has some dynamic villains who get up to something a little more than throw monster of the week cronies at the good guys.

As for the silver lips, I'm not really surprised that they brought back an old feature, it seems to me that sentai loves to homage itself- I think before Boukenger it'd been a whlie since we had a red, blue, yellow, black and pink team.

Anyway I like the pictures I see. They look very 80s, as a few people have said already, but I don't mind that. In fact I totally endorse it.

When do they usually release the promo commercials for the new Sentai?

I didn't like the black lower half for Shinkenger, but it grew on me. As for this... I don't even know...

I love how on the right-hand side, Red's holding his arms like "Welcome to the show!"

The word "circus" comes to mind. I wonder if the rangers work/live at the circus.... bull fighters come to mind... Vega (Balrog in Japan) comes to mind too.

In a way, it kind of gives off a "Noble" look. Kind of like a Royal Guard or just Nobility in general type of deal. As much as they look interesting, I kind of want to know a storyline before I start judging.

Go-onger was a weird one since the promo images and even the intro show them as a 5 man team but Hanto and Gunpei didn't become Green and black till the second episode. I'm not sure if I would really call them a starting 3 man team since it was only for an 1 1/2 episodes.

I second that motion. I thought it was weird that all the suddenly it was okay to say whatever rumor you heard because we have one official picture. Please stop before I yell at you.

I'll wait until I see a promo to comment about the suits since usually pictures don't do the suits justice.
