Also, doesn't it seem strange that Houjou won't reveal how he obtained the information about the Yukina letter, but does act surprised when Shouichi doesn't know about Mana's powers? Aren't those two assumptions in contradiction?

Houjou sneaked into Kino's house and stole the letter, which is why he won't reveal why he has the letter.

I think Houjou is surprised because Shouichi being Agito and lives in the same house with Mana, but still doesn't know she has super powers.
