Same here, I'm hoping for a Stream sub after this.
I don't have anything to put in here right now.

Take has a point, maybe we should stop the requests. Theres already another topic telling us of what they are planning on doing after all.

Of course, TV Nihon doing the subs Take described would make them all 2x as awesome at least, but it's at best a fleeting dream. Like Double appearing in a Cho Den-O episode.

Everyone, if you're too lazy to read the Status thing I posted for you it's right there. Just because it's locked doesn't mean you can't read it.

CliffNotes version: Yes, we are doing Stream. Stop asking for it, if you don't mind.

I have yet to watch an episode of the Rockman anime series. I mean, I sorta didn't like Battle Network's gameplay.

Uh, I don't think there was a Marvel hero named Rockman. ~_~;;

Rockman's name was changed to Megaman in the US because of copyright issues, being that Sony had these products that were also called Rockman(I think they're speakers or something) at the time. Forte and Blues' names though, I have no idea. It's curious that Roll didn't get a name change as well. xD

Other sources say that one of the head honchos of Capcom just didn't like his name because it didn't make sense. Roll wasn't present in the US releases of the first games. You should be thankful they went with Megaman though. I mean, someone even proposed the name 'Rainbow Man'. (oh the horror!)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockman_%28amplifier%29 They're amps by another group it seems. (Never noticed this.) The more you know~

Anyway, let's get back to episode discussion, shall we? (And no, I don't think wiki's absolute, but more of a basic summary.)

So which game does this follow, if any? Beastman was from BN3, but Shademan was from BN4 that I remember.

Man I wish it was that easy to do an Advance in the games. I was usually pretty unlucky on chip distribution. Also, Mayl and Dr. Hikari totally have something going on.

Well, there is a shit ton of room for argument, so I am just going to use the Kamen Rider movie excuse. Its alternate universe.

I believe Rainbowman was one of the proposed names prior to Rockman's creation; not during the localisation.

And yeah, it's quite clearly an alternate universe from the games. The villains and themes mainly come from the fourth game, but most of the story is original. There's no such thing as Dimensional Areas or Cross Fusion in the game, and it becomes a major element in the anime. Very much so in Stream.

^I wonder if the ideas of Dimensional Areas and Cross Fusion inspired the Mega Man Star Force games? According to Capcom, the Star Force games take place 200 years after the Battle Network games.

Is there an explanation about why Dr. Hikari and Meijin don't have their own Net Navis? It seems like they would be useful for their work.

It's too bad pesky emergencies like suffocation get in the way of harvesting battle chips from the corpses of your enemies.

In the games that Meijin's featured in (at least three) he has a different navi that won the Capcom contest much like Robot Masters back in the day.

Hikari doesn't exactly have a navi, but he created Rockman. (Maybe he has a generic type that isn't mentioned or something.)

Hmm I thought for sure he had a generic Navi in the first series, and I am not talking about the

generic navi that became Rockman

Oh and another thing I wanted to ask about, why was the decision made to translate Japanese battle chip names? That is usually something TVN tends not to do, when it comes to "attacks" and things of that sort. (IE "Geyser" )

Doesn't really bother me, just curious.
