I'm looking forward to this I remember seeing the last two movies of the trilogy on tv, have yet to see the first one though.
The promo looks interesting, let's see now how the series will be.
I personally like the old movies, I suggest you to watch them while you wait the eps to be released.
EDIT TO ADD: of course there are toys for this, if you would like one you can buy the Daimajin Kanon revoltech figure [it's part of the new "SCI-FI Revoltech" line- at HLJ. It's priced ¥2,172 right now.
