It seems to me that the way the henshin is set up, adding the icons would make the screen messy with text, taking away from the henshin itself.

Sounds like you need some direct vectoring, bro. :w This is unfortunately the kind of level of detail fonts start choking on because of aliasing and the like.

Seriously - I don't mean this in a "ur doin it rong" sense, but it's very possible to get quite high levels of detail at surprisingly low resolutions if you're prepared to go a bit mad with the bezier curves. Obviously it's not necessary to do the medals in the way people are suggesting - but if that's what you WANT to do, it is possible. Your main enemy will, alas, be attempting to get the detail to survive through encoding without mbtree, which does wonders for getting effect symbols and the like to come out well in otherwise hectic scenes.

No one will be able to see the Kamikiri design in the medal the way you have it there. Just don't worry about me not using icons for OOO. It works fine the way it is now and sometimes it's good to switch things up.

Personally I liked it in Kabuto that the icons weren't there. Gave it a cleaner look. I think icons are perfect if they show up on screen like with Decade and W. Otherwise, I think it should be at the discretion of the subbers.

Am I the only one sensing Den-O similarities here:

- Sliding pass/reader diagonally across belt
- Kind-hearted protagonist
- Tsundere Imagin/Greeed companion acting rough/cool, but eventually give in to protagonist's demands to be "kind"
- Form changes? (Ok, this was in most of the recent Riders, except for Hibiki and Kabuto, not counting their ultimate forms)
- Physically strong female support character

I get the feeling that Ankh would evolve into comic relief like Momotaros... Not that it's a bad thing, I enjoyed Den-O mostly because of Momo...

Not sure if this series will grow on me or not. Probably didn't help when I watched the first ep I had a slight headache. Maybe I need to watch it again.

I like the look the rider has this time, and the style of fighting is neat too. Not so sure about the singing henshin though heh.

I need to see more to get a better feel for it. Maybe after the first story arc.
