I have been looking at the medal count, but I think there is counting mistake. Since episode 35 there are 10 grey medals in the mix. Kazari 2 grey, Gamel 5 grey and Eiji with 3 grey. To me this adds up to 10, while there should be 9 at max.

Really? I thought the original Greed exist because of the 10 medals 1 was taken away and thus granting them sentience. Throughout the series they also hint that 9 core medals are required to completely revive again. And the purple cores are the only ones with 10, because they were inert.

they never stated the 10th was destroyed, just removed, adding the 10th back to the 9 would cause them to become inert and lifeless as was the state of the purple medals when they first appeared

Will you be editing the old count with info we got from the new episodes? It is annoying but so I would understand if you decide not to do it

For example Kazari had more then 1 green core when Uva took 2 back.

The other cores were destroyed when the other three Greeeds died. One was destroyed for Kazari, 3 for Mezool and 2 for Gamel. Add in the fact that the main Greeeds only had 9 to get instead of ten because they were created by destroying/getting rid of (likely the former though) the 10th one in their sets. The only set with a full 10 is the purples.

^^^^^^^^^^^^ I suppose that the King OOO kept all the tenth core and somehow it hidden somewhere else.

What hell are you on about? The 10th medals were stated to be destroyed in the Greeed creation story. I don't recall them making an apperance in the main timeline of the series.

Not necessarily true. In the flashback of king 000+ankh vs other greeed we see all greeeds including Uva, Kizaru and ankh in full forms and tatoba 000 king together while we know that they can't get full form without having all 9 medals so its a high probability that king 000 used 10th medals for himself to become 000.
