Any theories anyone? Cuz ankh was free first, then he freed the other greeeds, not because he liked them, but because he wanted more core medals....But the only thing i don't get is how ankh got freed FIRST, was it the thieves that moved something they shouldnt have moved or cakeboss doing his usual wacky things? what do you guys think?

That's obvious. The question is how did he get out of the coffin?

Wasn't this explained back when he explained why he was only an arm?

I think you're forgetting something: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_BKYPVW22U

Ankh was originally sealed as a mummy with his Cores. Then this scene happened, awakening Lost Ankh and giving Kougami his 2 red Cores. It makes sense if he did this, then put the Cores/Cells on the coffin to begin the rebirth of the Greeed.

No.

Ankh's right arm got sealed with the rest of the Greeed, and his arm at the time had the Taka Core that housed his conciousness. The split for an unexplained reason caused up to three of the remaining cores to develop a conciousness of their own, making Lost Ankh. However he was in comatose from the incident.

When Kougami went to Europe in between the episodes 16 and 17, he found the mummified body of Ankh and removed a Condor core, which awakened it (due to not being 'complete').

I think what happened was this....
Spoiler
In the past, Ankh was separated from the other 6 of his cores (he's just a 2 core arm). The 6 cores formed their own consciousness. Lost Ankh was sealed with the other greed ultimately sealing Ankh's consciousness. However no one knew that the 6 cores developed their own consciousness thus they thought it was safe to just mummify and remove the body from Ankh.

Kougami, obsessed with greed and evolution, decided the best way to move humans ahead was to create the True OOO. He found the greed chest and set up Eiji to work on security as well as hire two thieves. He removed Ankh's core, knowing that he would just be a helpless arm, and let the thieves' greed awaken the greed and cell medals. Thus the first episode happened, Kougami knew Ankh would rely on Eiji to fight for him so Ankh could gain the core medals he wants.

Kougami set everything up!! Oh and the whole remove one core thing probably helped it awaken, but since Lost Ankh was incomplete with 6 medals anyway, I don't see how being incomplete affected it. I think it's just the greed/disturbance that allowed Lost Ankh to escape his prison.
