4. As i remember, Joe was Big One in a previous episode (The Magiranger one i believe), so i guess it's established that no ranger key is linked to a given member of the gang.

Enjoyed this episode more than the last one, even though this episode may count as a filler
Loved the part where the Gokaiger used their Sword/Gun finisher
Too bad the mecha/giant battle is so short (isn't there a rule to weaken the monster first, THEN use the finisher? )

I had that idea too, but then I'd realized when I go to to to a convention I have to take the city bus. On this city bus are people I see practically every day... Oddly that is making it more tempting to now.

too bad lots of people you see in the bus don't have much fantasy. They only see someone with a bucket on the head in a cardbox and wll only think you're weird.

I really enjoyed this episode! even though I'm not a big Luka fan, I kinda liked her part in this episode.
It's good to see that Marvelous is such a bad loser, it really fits his personality Poor guy, everybody's making fun of him xD
but he does make cute faces when he plays cards xD

The Goumin suits are hillarious xD but I don't know what's funnier. The fact that the zangyack didn't noticed or to see such a serious and cool character like Joe in that outfit

Anyway, I was really looking forward to the Shinkenger episode though I'm a bit dissapointed that Takeru and Ryuunosuke aren't shown

Really enjoyed this episode. I like the fact that really silly moments are side by side with super-serious intense action and character development. Reminds me a little of Bleach that way.

The Joe x Luka shippers did get thrown a bone here, didn't they? So Ahim x Doc, Joe x Luka, and poor Marvelous all alone, until random hot girl shows up, either in the movie or somewhere around episode 20. LOL

Kaoru!!!!! I love Takeru and will miss seeing him, but I really felt like she got a bit shafted in the Shinkenger vs Goseiger movie, at least this time she gets to kick ass a bit. Go JOE! Sword fighting action! My favorite!

Great episode, even if that Big Bomber seemed to take forever to set up... I do love me some JAKQ though, so I'm fine with it.

Hey TV-Nihon Community! First-time poster, long-time watcher, lifetime fan.

I really enjoyed this epi. I love the episodes where we just get to know some of the characters a little better but in an interesting way/story (something I found lacking in Goseiger most of the time). None of the episodes so far had just straightforward story lines and if we did get some of the same-old themes of past, they were told in a new and interesting way. I feel like that for this one.

The plot was deceptively simple. I was just okay with it watching through the first half. During the "heart of the cards" moment (which i loved) I was hoping for it not to be the ace, just for a twist in an otherwise obvious outcome, but the rest of the crew showing up was also good. That final reveal with Luka switching the decks really brought it home for me and really gave the story an underlying complexity that's always greatly appreciated.

This episode was also very visually interesting. We got a different sequence than normal with Insaan and the machine that make monsters grow (is there an official name for that thing?). I loved having a straight up roll call rather than the stylized one. Finally, the seamless transition to the Final Wave sequence was gorgeous.

It appears Doc, Luca and Ahim do not know about Joe's past. All seemed suprised about him knowing so much about the ships and whatnot. Only Marvelous did not seemed surprised. It wouldn't surprise me if he knew. Heck, it wouldn't be Marvelous. He does not let on more than he knows. Will there possibly be a team fallout/ redemption plot for Joe in the future after the rest of the team learns of his history?

I suppose this is JAKQ's unofficial tribute episode. Can't see an episode dedicated to Hiroshi Miyauchi/Yoshitaka Tamba giving the Gokaigers a thumbs-up and some giant CG cards. Which is the only grand power they could really get, anyways (unless the designers felt like making mecha for Goranger and JAKQ for the movie.)

I liked seeing their finisher in HD and the subtle tribute of having the monster beaten the first time in a convenient, already desolate area before jumping into the city for the final fight. It made me laugh.

I do hope they eventually explain why the main fleet just hover around all day and occasionally send a really small fleet of dudes with an action commander.

I do hope for more space battles. Maybe Megaranger ship thing appearance?

Maybe they're afraid to commit their entire fleet to a single operation? Remember, the last time Zangyack invaded Earth in force, their entire fleet got annihilated in one huge blast. They don't know that was a one-off attack that can't be done again. They think that Earth has a superweapon capable of wiping out a huge force in one shot, though it's obviously not something we can afford to fire for a small task force. They don't know the limits of this supposed superweapon, but they can hypothesize a bit. Since it wasn't used until the entire fleet was committed to an engagement inside Earth's atmosphere and the size of the blast, it's definitely a strategic weapon, maybe one of last resort, as well. Probably takes a long time to charge and/or load, too.

They've probably got an Action Commander who's an intel specialist trying to figure out what and where the weapon is so they can take it out before they commit to a full-scale invasion. Hmmm, that might be a good plot for the Megaranger episode: An Action commander hacking secure networks trying to find data on the weapon that took out the previous invasion fleet, and of course Navi's latest Treasure Navigate leads the Gokaigers straight to him and one or more of the Megarangers.

I'd imagine Doc would make a decent pro poker player if he had any kind of self-control. Joe and Luka would probably be higher tier, though the latter would be severely gimped.

I'm also guessing that Doc went against the Dress Code because a) he always goes against the Dress Code and b) Why not be Master Chief? Also, found his abridged pose hilarious.

a lot of diversions going on this episode. y'know i think it's funny when the old sentais were trying to be awesome like the jakq big bomber assembly in this episode "Set 1, Set 2, Set 3, Set 4" what was all that about why couldn't they have just put it together without saying those things. seems enemies can be fooled by pretty much anything these days

Was a "meh" episode for me. Nothing really stood out nor was made epic. even using GaoLion was very quick and to the point. The villian wasn't as kooky which didn't add much too the story this time.
