The origin story between Joe and Marvelous was great, both in terms of substance and how it was presented to the audience. I'm really, really satisfied by the way that unfolded. Same with the rest of the back story on Sid. Even though Joe kind of reached the conclusion that his sempai is gone, I figure we can count on at least one more episode where Joe tries to redeem Sid (although I'm not expecting a happy ending). I also liked the brief flashback of everyone presumably boarding the ship for the first time.

More superb fighting scenes featuring the cast instead of the suits. I'm very amused that Marvelous went out fighting in his trademark coat, giant sword rip through the back and all.

I think I got whiplash from all of the Gokai changes in this episode. Yikes! Fun, but a little overwhelming. The Shinkenger transformation comfortably met expectations. Its theme has become one of my favorite, so I enjoyed hearing it - background chorus and all. Red's barrel roll with the Rekka Daizantou was quite impressive. And Shinken Gokai-Ou standing on the Shinkenger cliff? Awesome.

I’m seriously hoping for deleted scenes/behind the scenes bonuses on the DVD/Blu-ray releases. Based on last week’s preview, there was a ton of footage that didn’t make it into the episode that I was really stoked to see. Judging from cuts in previous episodes, it's not the first time they've had more footage than they could fit in the episode.

The attack at 17:13 intrigued me as well. That was definitely the effect for Sid's attack, which made it all the more odd when Joe walked out without a sword in his hand.

But the very brief moment that really made an impact was the awesome move Marvelous pulled off with Rekka Daizantou

Yeah, I think that move was more awesome than anything Takeru did with it.
Well except for when he traded it for the Blade Blade.

Man... so many henshins.. definately love it. The theme for Shinkenger was also great, along with them using the discs.

And boy... Gokai Oh's Rekka Daizantou was ridiculous...

Yeah, i'm with everyone at around 17:13 where this blade/beam thing comes out of nowhere and joe's there but isn't holding a sword.

And Hey, I think Shinken Gokai Oh is probably the best looking Gattai so far. He's even wearing the headpiece!!

and damn... Ahim just gets cuter with each episode. I'm not sure what it is. I think cause she's wearing he hair up?

It's funny that you think it's cute since the chosen sound effect isn't random. The Japanese onomatopoeia for that sound is "kin". In Japanese, the word for testicles is "kintama".

I know Toei's probably using One Piece for inspiration but damn was Marvelous emulating Luffy.

That's good for me. Luffy is hilarious and food does perk some people up. At least he didn't go "FAT" like Luffy after eating.

Yeah, I thought Cloud or Ichigo would win for large-ass blades, but this one took the cake and sliced the island in two.

o_0 Still cute, if I was male it might not be, but I am female so I am not as horrified. So "Kin" is the noise and kintama is the word for "nuts" Now I know, and knowing is half the battle.

Yeah, this weeks episodes of both Gokaiger and OOO had some pretty gay undertones.

Actually the whole "lots of food when injured" thing is an old Anime trope. See Lupin the Third for clarification.

Loved this episode, Joe is totally cool, Marvelous is... well, Marvelous, and everyone else was pretty awesome too. I think Doc is getting better as a fighter.

But my favorite... Pnk Flash! Flashman was my first Sentai show and still holds a dear place in my heart, so that squeal you heard was me fangirling all over the place.
