Re: KR Fourze 38 Released
I feel bad for the actors, first they're filming in blasting wind with snow flurries, then they're filming in pouring rain. I don't think that was staged weather either, they looked soaked to the bone.
We've had a couple people in the KRC have friends who turned out to be Zodiarts, but it seems like having someone in the club turn out to be a Horoscope would be a great twist. Maybe too dark for this show though. But imagine if Kengo had been Aquarius and Gamou could have been all "embrace the power and cure yourself of your weakness!"

Re: KR Fourze 38 Released
Really, what's so wrong with not having people killed? I actually liked how W, Fourze, and OOO to an extent, handled deaths; they don't happen a lot, but when they do, they have the impact and weight that, you know, an actual death would have. People dying are highlights of the show, not just "oh well, that's too bad". Besides, Leonite Rider pointed it out, covering up deaths would be too troublesome since the police will be all over them, and, you know, these people have family and loved ones that would want to know what happened. And students dying one after another is probably not good for the school's reputation.
I personally thought the wrap-up for this arc brilliant. Sure, they probably could extend the story further, but ending it like this is probably for the better. They're nearing the 40's, after another three arcs, it's the endgame. I don't know if adding another plot thread is a good idea.

It would, really. But it would have to something along the lines of 'being consumed/possesed by the power of darkness' since every member had seen and knew the evil of the Zodiarts, and would never voluntarily use a Zodiarts Switch. We already got JK's story where he indirectly used the power of a Zodiarts. If someone in the club willingly used a Switch after that, that would be...stupid.Alessar wrote:it seems like having someone in the club turn out to be a Horoscope would be a great twist.

Well you can definitely tell it was a special episode. When was the last time we got a Bullet Time camera pan in a KR episode? It seems like it's been just short of forever.
One has to suffer for art. Apparently that goes for more than just painting.Alessar wrote:I feel bad for the actors, first they're filming in blasting wind with snow flurries, then they're filming in pouring rain. I don't think that was staged weather either, they looked soaked to the bone.

Re: KR Fourze 38 Released
Wow, the location where Leo ambushed Gentarou looked like
the one where Kazari and the Lion/Jellyfish yummy was spending the night waiting to see if OOO is gonna show up in episode 20[/spoiler]
So far only Aquarius didn't have a supernova moment. Budget problem, due to all the guest stars? Eline with her memory lost looks like it also came with intelligence lost. She seemed more guilible and naive compared to last week's episode, but I guess they had to close the arc on a lighter note to convey what ever moral lesson they were trying to teach the kids.
So Gamou is really Sagitarius? So the boss is a normal zodiac, oh well Sazer-Tarius was the main protagonist in Gransazer.

Re: KR Fourze 38 Released
I don't think Miu has any feelings for Gentarou per se. At least not that advanced. It's more like, Gentarou was the guy that made the biggest impact on her life. I thought the episode made that pretty clear.m4rc0 wrote:Shun likes Miu. Miu seems to have feelings for Gen. We don't know what Gen thinks because the series doesn't give this stuff time. Might be a strech to call a love triangle, but I didn't think I needed to elaborate.
Unless you think it's impossible for a girl to be impressed by a guy without falling head over heels for them.

I remember he said to Virgo that he picked up the switch when he was defeated. Maybe he implied that he died?takenoko wrote:I also kind of feel like old man Gamou has a soft spot for his students. Remember that it wasn't his orders that had Cancer eliminated, that was all Libra's doing. I kind of don't remember how Libra explained that to Gamou. Maybe he didn't?
The ending was kind of sad. Yeah they are friends, but its not the same. At least with the last Arc, there were pre-zodiart memories with JK and his friend.
I did enjoy the double Libra and Leo trolling of Aquarius at the start, getting her on her Japanese. That needs to happen more often, rather than being at each others throats.

Re: KR Fourze 38 Released
I'm not quite sure what's so bad about her not dying? The girl they got to know is still gone forever.
Re: KR Fourze 38 Released
my problem is not that she didn't die. but that the ending was a little too happy. he still manages to be friend with her at the end, despite all the character development she had being erased.
what i think they should have done, was to have Genta leaving Eline after discovering she had forgotten him, saying he was gonna wait until Eline returned before becoming friends with her. or something like that.

Re: KR Fourze 38 Released
Eline being in and out in two episodes is a shame for several reasons. I liked the character and the actress (cute! and holy crap can she pull off a screaming rage or what?), and would have liked to have seen her stick around as an antagonist for at least a little longer.
But most of all for me, this arc highlights some of the weaker parts of the storytelling going on. We never see the development of the new Horoscopes. They're just suddenly introduced and are already at that level, and there's no good explanation for how they got to that point. They've made a big deal that "The Hole" over the school is what allows Zodiarts/Horoscopes to develop, but of the last three, one was at a different school and the last two were transfer students. So where/when did they get a switch, upgrade to Last One, and then go on to become a Horoscope? Did the transfer students come from Kyoto, maybe? Could have gone through most if not all of the process there before the Hole there was closed, and then transferred in order to complete/continue at the remaining one? That's the only thing that makes sense to me, but I don't think anything has been mentioned in the show.
And then after all that, the last three have been tossed out as quickly as they show up. Aries at least was a good two episodes that wrapped up the "Ryuusei being secretive" bit and introduced Cosmic States, but Capricorn and Aquarius have been somewhat disappointing. The last fight between Fouze and Aquarius was nicely done, but... when and how did he get the idea to destroy both shoulder parts to stop her healing? Gentarou's had moments where he figures something out instinctively or creatively, but those moments are usually shown or pointed out. So it seemed a little out of nowhere for me.
Also, I really hope they explain why all these people are so willing to serve Gamou. Eline's comments to Gentarou that she really admired the boss of the Horoscopes and couldn't betray him were pretty flat without anything to back that up. I mean, why? Why did Gamou have such an influence on her?

This episode was just brilliant! I was really tearing up when Eline figured that what she did to Yuuki was wrong. The drama was no short of anything. Now only two more zodiarts need to be revealed. Why does my horoscope pisces have to take so ling to be released?

Re: KR Fourze 38 Released
Last episode I commented on Gentarou being F for Fourze. didn't notice Eline was A for Aquarius.
That final fight was awesome. Claw sword is so cool.
Dammit, Gamou! i didn't mind erasing Capricorn's memory because the power made him evil and the lack of memory made him a nice person again, but Eline was a good person and went through real character development, and now you just undid that. not cool.

Re: KR Fourze 38 Released
I did like how they resolved the conflict Eline had with Yuuki. It was well done and I felt like she really felt sorry for hating on Yuuki. But yeah, the best scene had to be the battle in the rain between Fourze and Aquarius. There was tension between the two characters and with no music too, that made it even better. I liked the special effects used in this battle. I'm surprised that the Gemini horoscope is going to be one of the last Zodiarts. That's my horoscope sign. Lol...
