Maybe I'm just hearing things, but it sounded an awful lot like the gang was saying "kishi" over and over from 1:35-1:50 in episode 39. At about 1:50 (when JK was whining and it was translated as "Banned! Banned! Banned!"), especially.
I've seen enough of HiNoTori's Gingaman sub to know that "kishi" means "bull". Were they making a pun here with the Taurus Zodiarts? Or am I just misunderstanding the pronunciation of whatever the actual word for "banned" is?
Bull pun?

Re: Bull pun?
"Banned" is kinshi, not kishi. "Bull" is ushi not kishi. Nice thought though.

Re: Bull pun?
But kishi means knight?
Kishi 騎士 【きし】 (n) knight, (P)
Maybe you mean ushi?
Ushi 牛 【うし】 (n) cattle, cow, (P)
From the Gingaman wiki I see there's a Black Knight Black Bull (Kuro Kishi Black Bull 黒騎士ブルブラック). Maybe they just left off the Black Knight title of his name?

The "KuroKishi" you're reading in those isn't "Bull Black", that part's said in English; what it comes out to is like what take said, Black Knight and that's what the Gingaman tend to refer to him as.TBustah! wrote:I've seen enough of HiNoTori's Gingaman sub to know that "kishi" means "bull".

Just a series of coincidences and misunderstandings then?
Shoot, thought I was on to something. At least now I know.
