I didn't really enjoy this movie, as I was just confused more than anything. Now I've read a bit more from other people's opinions, I can see that maybe Toei sacrifices a lot of plot or coherence to make way for just whizz-bang nuttiness happening to get kids to go to the movie theatres. But as a grown chap watching the movie, yeah I was disappointed by the lack of a logical plot that had a purpose and resolved properly.

I didn't understand at all why Joe, Don, the girl from OOOs and Diend were thrown together to become the main characters. It seemed like such a bizarre choice. I could have got it if they were all blue in some way i.e. Gokai Blue, Diend, Gosei Blue and Meteor - or something, but having Joe and Don from the same team and no-one else - just seemed so bizarre. Also, Don showed no courage whatsoever and just hid himself from danger, which was disappointing.

Shadow Moon is actually Kintaros' voice.

Actually, as I just found out, Kintaros's voice actor did actually voice Shadowmoon in Black and Black RX way back in '87.

well, that explains why shadowmoon had dialogue while other sentais and riders had no lines whatsoever.
